"A shopping and marina complex located in Dejima-machi, Nagasaki City. Facilities include seafood, Italian, Chinese, and other restaurants; outlet shops; and an information center on the ""Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region"" World Heritage listing. Facing Nagasaki Port, it also allows visitors to enjoy beautiful sunsets and a gorgeous nightscape from the terrace area."

Perfect place for a leisurely walk or a romantic sunset dinner. There are many charming cafes and restaurants along the walkway with a great view of the sea. Wish I had more time to stay.

This is a large shopping mall directly linked to JR Nagasaki Station, known as “Amu”. There are about 130 tenants, and on the fourth floor is the United Cinema with eight screens. The restaurant on the fifth floor “Kojoko” is popular for Champon and a dish of udon easily available in front of the station. Nursing room, and strollers to use are available at no charge.

A typhoon east of us caused the cancellation of one of our upcoming transfer trains so we had to stay far longer in the Nagasaki Train Station on our departure day from the city than expected. The...

This is a large shopping mall in Mori Town, Nagasaki City. In addition to shops and restaurants, there is a sports gym on the fourth floor and TOHO cinema with nine screens on the sixth floor. The highest point of the Ferris wheel, which is a symbol of the mall, is about 70 meters above the ground and the time it takes to go around is 10 minutes and 51 seconds. A nursing room, and baby strollers are available. It is a three-minute walk from Urakami Station. The mall has a bus terminal adjacent meaning bus access is easy.

Just visited the Nagasaki Cocowalk shopping Mall and took a trip on the ferris wheel. A sunny clear day so the views were great. Easy to find on the 5th floor (bookshop floor). The fare was Y500 and...

Nagasaki Areas

around-area-map

This hidden corner of the country is rural Japan at its best, where underground activity is to thank for active volcanoes and bubbling natural hot springs along the Shimabara Peninsula as well as the crystal clear waters of the Goto Islands off the west coast. Less well known than Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, Nagasaki commemorates its own past at the Nagasaki Peace Park, which sits alongside the charming Meganebashi stone bridge and a mix of religious buildings with beautiful architecture, such as the Zen Buddhist Sofukuji Temple, the Confucian Shrine, and the Oura Christian Church.
