グラバースカイロードを上がって祈念坂のほうに向かうとあります。外国人居留地初期の住宅デザインで、現在は無料の休憩所として使われています。祈念坂から上がってくるルートだと結構しんどいと思うので、いったん休むにはいい場所です。

田平公園は、平戸島へ架かる平戸大橋の本土側のたもとにある公園です。公園の海側からは、本土と平戸島の間の平戸瀬戸に架かる赤い平戸大橋と、その向こうの平戸島が一望できました。公園はかなりの広さがあって、何面もあるテニスコートでテニスを楽しむ人たちやバーベキューを楽しんでいる人たちなどなど、たくさんの人たちが思い思いに楽しんでいました。

The museum is also adjacent to the Sasebo City Utsuwa Historical Museum, where visitors can learn about the history of Sasebo pottery, including Mikawachi ware.

佐世保線三河内駅近くにあります。車利用で佐世保に行ったので立ち寄りました。江戸-明治時代の白磁の作品や現代作家の作品が展示されています。三川内焼の名作を多く拝見させていただきました。しかも入館無料でした。絵付け・透かし彫り体験などもできますが、10名以上での申し込みとなっていたので断念しました。素朴な感じの焼き物に魅力を感じました。

After opening as a trading port in 1562 and prospering as the base of European trade and Christian missionary activities, it was used as a port to reload coal from the Miike coal mine during the Meiji period (1868-1912). This memorial museum is a 10-minute walk from Indoji Port. The museum conveys the life and achievements of Yasuzaemon Matsunaga, a man who worked to expand the use of electricity in Japan from the Meiji through the Showa periods. Built on the site of his childhood home, in the museum's garden, visitors can see a streetcar used as part of the Fukuoka City tram system he established in 1909. Inside, the museum displays items connected to Matsunaga, including personal effects and a letter from then-Prime Minister Tsuyoshi Inukai.

印通寺港から車で数分でした。入場料を払うと最初から説明が始まり、見学エリアから外の銅像、福岡市電までずっと解説同伴でした。誰でも知っている企業がずらりとならび、晩年の写真には吉田茂、池田勇人とそうそうたる政治家との写真など圧倒されました。館内は写真撮影できませんでした。隣の生家は土間にははいれ内部の写真撮影ができました。
