    Nagasaki Unzen-shi Obamacho ‧ Minamihonmachi
A seaside hot spring district facing Tachibana Bay which boasts the hottest waters in Japan. This ancient hot spring destination, situated at the foot of Mt. Unzen, is even noted in the Hizen fudoki, a record of the area compiled in the early Nara period. From the 1900s, the area came to be seen as a health resort, and today it still generates an abundant flow of piping hot water from some 30 source springs. The area's springs contain sodium and are extremely hot, reaching 105 ° C at the source. Steam rises up from the ground everywhere in the town, and onsen-mushi, steaming foods using this hot spring steam, is a popular local activity. Hot Foot 105, a new footbath facility opened in 2010, takes its name from its 105° C source spring waters and, at 105 meters in length, it is Japan's longest hot spring footbath. There's also a footbath area designed to be walked through and a footbath area for pets.

It located next to hot foot 105. It provides free tools and guidelines for steaming foods by using local Onsen water! Foods and Onsen eggs could be bought from a nearby store! I bought souvenir...

Nagasaki Sasebo-shi Huis Ten Bosch machi 10-ban
A hotel complete with a hot spring bath facility adjoining the Huis Ten Bosch amusement park. Open to non-guests, as well, the hotel's bathhouse sees many customers year-round, particularly Huis Ten Bosch visitors stopping by before heading home. The hotel's chloride spring contains an abundance of iron, manganese, sodium, and calcium and is characterized by its turbid yellowish color. Its waters are said to aid recovery from fatigue in addition to easing nerve pain, joint pain, chronic skin diseases, frozen shoulders, and other ailments. Note that the bathhouse becomes extremely crowded after Huis Ten Bosch closes, and perspective visitors are encouraged to come here as early as possible.

Nagasaki Areas

around-area-map

This hidden corner of the country is rural Japan at its best, where underground activity is to thank for active volcanoes and bubbling natural hot springs along the Shimabara Peninsula as well as the crystal clear waters of the Goto Islands off the west coast. Less well known than Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, Nagasaki commemorates its own past at the Nagasaki Peace Park, which sits alongside the charming Meganebashi stone bridge and a mix of religious buildings with beautiful architecture, such as the Zen Buddhist Sofukuji Temple, the Confucian Shrine, and the Oura Christian Church.
