    A live seafood restaurant located in Yobokucho, Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture; on the first floor, diners can enjoy watching squid swim lively in the fish tank located in the center. The shop’s vaunted squid a brought directly via tank from the boats of local fisherman. The ikizukuri special, which includes squid sashimi prepared direct from the tank, is so fresh the squid’s arms may still move. The restaurant also offers a variety of other fresh seafood dishes, including tempura and kaiseki course cuisine. In addition to table seating, Kawatarou offers tatami seating and private rooms and can also accommodate group meals and parties.

    A squid specialty restaurant located in Tononoura, Yobuko-cho, Karatsu City. The restaurant serves seafood from the Genkai Sea and dishes made with Yobuko's famous live squid, including squid ikizukuri and squid shumai steamed dumplings. In addition to set meals like an ikizukuri set meal, seafood rice bowls, and a kaiseki course meal featuring all manner of squid dishes, the establishment also offers reservation only course meals. In the adjoining Yobuko Kaishu Kodawari Kobo, visitors can watch squid shumai being made beyond a glass window and purchase some of these tasty dumplings to bring home.

    ツアーでここにいきましたが、福岡からのバスも来ていて、大箱ですが人気のようです。料理はおいしくいただきました。 刺身が新鮮でねっとりしています。うまい。

    This tofu shop makes its tofu using high quality Kyushu soybeans. A small 10-seat restaurant adjoins the shop which opens four times a day at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m. in line with when fresh batches of tofu are made. The zaru-dofu (fresh creamy tofu served in a draining basket) is particularly exquisite; the best times to order it are either 8 a.m. when its fresh and warm or at 12 p.m. when the flavor has really set in. During the evening, the restaurant only serves a traditional kaiseki course meal.

    河太郎や萬坊はきちんと休みを載せているので、調べている段階で営業しているかわかるようにしているのに、ここはHPでは一切お盆休みの有無について書いていないのに、訪れたら定休日の看板が。あり得ない。

The restaurant serves dishes made with fresh squid swimming in its own in-house tank and caught in the waters of Yobuko Bay, including kama meshi rice, tempura, squid shumai steamed dumplings, and ikizukuri made with fresh and translucent squid. In addition to a la carte choices, the establishment also offers set meals like a triple squid set meal, special squid ikizukuri set meal, and Saga wagyu Japanese beef Toban-yaki (grilled on earthenware utensils) set meal. Flash frozen squid ikizukuri and other items are also available for takeout to share with friends and relatives or for shipping to anywhere in Japan.

    友人7名にて、着ました。昨年は、対岸にて食べました。いかの活き造りに、鯵の活き造りの付くコースでした。新鮮で美味しかったです。 今度は、家族で着たいと思います。

    A live seafood restaurant located in the Yobuko-cho area of Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture. The restaurant keeps its stock in some 10 fish tanks on the premises. As the tanks circulate water from and back out to the Genkai Sea, the restaurant’s specialty squid, select mackerel, horse mackerel, sea bream, and abalone are kept healthy and can be prepared in the freshest possible state. Genkai is renowned for its chewy squid ikizukuri (slices of fresh raw fish arranged to look lifelike) and other seafood kaiseki course cuisine. The restaurant also offers ikizukuri and broiled fish dishes à la carte, making it a great place to enjoy a casual meal as well.

    半年ぶりの再訪。二階の床の間のある和室に通され、ゆっくり鰻定食を楽しみました。唐津くんちの５日前で町は祭りの準備で忙しい中、とても美味しい鰻を賞味でき、幸せな気分に浸りました。

    持ち帰りのセットを注文しようと電話したところ、電話対応がものすごく悪く腹が立った。主人の誕生日で、約7人前ほど注文をしようと電話したところ、注文を聞く前から17時台の引取は対応できないと言われた。店頭で食べるわけでもないのに、何人前注文するのか効く前に対応できないことを先言われすごく腹が立った。

    呼子朝市通りにある木屋さかな市場です。 休日の晴れた朝に伺いました。 店頭でも揚げ物類が販売され、食べ歩きもできますが店内で頂くことに。 定食５００円と格安です。 焼きサバは肉厚ふっくら。本日の刺身も500でボリューミー。歯応えもあり良かったです。
