- This museum is in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture, and was built in 1995 to commemorate the 145th anniversary of the founding of Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, as Tashiro Baiyaku. This museum is dedicated to pharmaceutical and medical history, and stands out for its two story building, designed by an Italian sculptor. Its displays include a recreation of the end of the 19th century British pharmacy, and materials from Tashiro Baiyaku.

JAFカードで入場料が１００円割引になります。外観もいいですが、館内展示も工夫されています。薬草園はイマイチでしたが、敷地自体は整備されていて気持ちがいいです。江戸時代の薬問屋が再現されていたり、薬ができる過程が実際に使われていた道具とともに説明されていたので、時代小説好きの私には小説の世界が理解できてとても面白かったです！昔の薬のラベルの展示では、そのデザインがお洒落で目をひきました。

- A facility with a Niiyama waterwheel reminiscent of days gone by that was restored in 1995. In the Meiji era, there were more than 60 waterwheels in the Niiyama area utilizing the headwaters of the Jobaru River. It's said the area bustled during that time with carpenters and operators of waterwheels and young farmers from the plains with wagons loaded with wheat. The hall's displays include waterwheel related items and waterwheel powered marionettes performing the Ondamai dance from Niiyama-jinja Shrine.
