The shop sells confections like Saga's renowned ""Ogi Yokan"" red bean jelly bars covered with a crunchy layer of sugar, ""Furusato Monaka"" red bean jam wafer cakes, and ""Maruboro"" pancakes. The shop is adjoined by a restaurant serving Japanese set meals (meal orders require an advance reservation)."

    日帰りバス旅行で訪問しました。早く着きすぎ、羊羹を試食してから、ランチになりました。羊羹は昔ながらの淵が硬い物と、柔らかめの物などがあります。ランチはツアーですから、お味は普通。

    陶器市の期間中はごとうふ御膳などの通常メニューがなく、カレーともう一品くらいしかありません。ここで食べようと計画していたのに残念。

Their ""Tokusen Imari beef steak"" has a juicy taste that spreads within your mouth, and is a popular classic menu item with a distinctive rich flavor and full-bodied taste. Their steak set that pairs steak with soup, salad, a drink and other items is recommended. They have three different kinds of special sauces: sesame, ponzu (citrus soy sauce), and salt and pepper."

In addition to full courses, their course with small portions using seasonal ingredients is very popular.

    A live seafood restaurant located in the Yobuko-cho area of Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture. The restaurant keeps its stock in some 10 fish tanks on the premises. As the tanks circulate water from and back out to the Genkai Sea, the restaurant’s specialty squid, select mackerel, horse mackerel, sea bream, and abalone are kept healthy and can be prepared in the freshest possible state. Genkai is renowned for its chewy squid ikizukuri (slices of fresh raw fish arranged to look lifelike) and other seafood kaiseki course cuisine. The restaurant also offers ikizukuri and broiled fish dishes à la carte, making it a great place to enjoy a casual meal as well.

    This Wagyu beef steak specialty shop won a Michelin star in the Michelin Guide Fukuoka & Saga 2014 – Special Edition. It serves grilled ingredients unique to Saga. The restaurant prides itself on its use of A5 rank Saga and Imari Wagyu beef. The second-generation owner of the restaurant uses his discerning eye, trained in a butcher’s shop to select ingredients, and the high-quality meat, which is then aged for two weeks, is tender and has a deep flavor. Sitting at a counter seat, customers can enjoy conversing with the chef while watching their meal be flambéed (flaming brandy over food) in front of them. The nearest station is Karatsu Station.

    佐賀ラーメン初体験。地元で人気の「とんこつ一筋！」という感じのお店でした。土曜の午後でしたが、客が途切れず駐車スペースも満杯。具材はとてもシンプル。海苔とチャーシューがデフォルト。自分はさらに生卵入りを選択。それでも650円です。とんこつが溶け出したスープはとろみがあって満足を感じました。
