This day-use hot spring bathhouse is located a 15-minute drive south from Fukuoka Expressway Notame Interchange along National Route 385. It uses natural hot spring water that bubbles up from the base of Mt. Sefuri upstream of the Naka River. The water is notable for a gentleness that makes it well-suited for children and the elderly. The bathhouse features spacious indoor baths with seven-meter-tall ceilings as well as outdoor baths with rocks in various shapes and sizes. Some of its many other bathing facilities include salt saunas, steam baths, Japanese cypress baths, and outdoor baths with a decorative waterfall. After a bath guests can also relax for free at the spcious tatami-matted lounge. There are also foot baths where guests can relax while looking at the trees and listening to the sound of the insects chirping.

"A hot spring hotel located in Chikushino City, Fukuoka Prefecture. In addition to lodging, the hotel also offers day trip hot spring bathing plans with meals."

"A day trip-use spring bathhouse whose baths are constantly replenished ""kakenagashi"" style from a source spring, located a five-minute drive from the Chikushino Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway. Established in 1860, the waters of the bathhouse' simple spring (hypotonic and mildly alkaline high temperature spring) are said to beautify the skin. Unusual for a high temperature spring, these waters also contain an abundance of radon, and are claimed to promote post-illness recovery and treat a wide array of ailments, including burns, dermatitis, nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, chronic digestive diseases, hemorrhoids, and sensitivity to cold. The bathhouse also has private bathing rooms which can be rented for an additional fee where customers can relax in peace. There's also a bathing area where you can bring in your own food and drink."

This hot spring district boasts a long history and its praises were even sung in the ancient Man'yoshu poetry anthology. There are many hot spring bathhouses and inns in the area, such as the Hakatayu, an inn founded in 1860, and the district attracts large numbers of tourists. The Kyushu region boasts many hot springs, but even so, Futsukaichi Onsen's radioactive springs are a rarity; their waters are said to be a cure-all, reportedly treating such ailments as cuts, burns, skin diseases, hardening of the arteries, nerve pain, joint pain, rheumatism, diabetes, gout, sensitivity to cold, and infertility. They are also said to moisturize and beautify the skin. The hot springs of the district appear in the ancient Man'yoshu, and area visitors can enjoy both history and picturesque scenery in addition to hot spring bathing.
