A major commercial facility standing on the banks of the Naka River. In addition to shops and restaurants, the facility is also adjoined by a movie theater and a performing arts theater. The Ramen Stadium area, filled with branch restaurants from famous ramen purveyors throughout Japan, is a popular place to check out. In the evening, visitors can enjoy a magnificent water fountain show that makes use of projection mapping in the Sun Plaza on floor B1. Free baby stroller rentals available.

Interesting concept but looking tired. Inside outside mall so one minute hot next cold. The light show was interesting and worth a look

The Hakata Bus Terminal, from which scheduled and high-speed buses leave and return from trips around Fukuoka City, has one underground and nine above ground floors with stores for clothing and accessories, sundries, daily goods and foodstuffs. Just a one-minute walk from JR Hakata Station’s Hakata Exit, it is convenient for both tourists and shoppers. From the first floor run local scheduled buses and from the third run high-speed buses going to Honshu and other areas around Kyushu.

This 20 mins Bus ride from Hakata station to Fukuoka Airport costs Y270 one way is way better than riding the subway as the subway stops at the domestic terminal and you need to lug your luggage onto...

TENJIN CORE is a fashion building built by the Nishitetsu Group on the underground second floor to the eighth floor, and is 43 years old as of April 2019. There are many shops, including clothing and accessory shops, general merchandise shops and gourmet food shops in the building. It is located about three minutes on foot from the Fukuoka City Subway Line’s Tenjin Station.

I mainly visited Tenjin Core for the food and for 1 or 2 shops. Like what most people says here, its mainly for teenagers and young adults. I suppose like most cities that there must be a mixture...

This traditional department store opened in 1936 as the first railroad terminal department store in Kyushu. Its roots extend all the way back to 1754, when it operated as a kimono shop. A passageway connects the main building and the new annex, and inside you can find everything from men’s and ladies’ fashion to household goods, food items, cosmetics, interior goods, jewelry, restaurants, and more. For customers with children in tow, there are also brands aimed at kids. With the largest selection of goods in Kyushu, there is something here for everyone. The nearest station is Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station.

A department store located close to Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. Hotel Nikko Fukuoka’s popular Chinese restaurant Koro has a branch restaurant on the sixth floor of the east building. Popular bakeries Maison Kayser and Paul Bocuse also have shops on the food floor of B2. A baby rest room and baby stroller rental service are available for visitors. Lastly, Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store also provides duty free service for international travelers.

A Hakata doll shop located along the Hakata River in Nakasu. The building belongs to the Shogetsudo company, and the first-floor shop carries some 400 different product types spanning 800 items from virtually all of the major Hakata doll makers, one of the largest selections in the country. "Nagahama Fish Market is located around 12 minutes' walk from the Akasaka subway station, or it can be reached by using the Nishitetsu Bus service and getting off at the Nagahama Ni-Chome bus stop; the market is two minutes' walk from the bus stop. Renowned for its fresh fish and seafood, Nagahama Fish Market is the fourth largest fish market in Japan in terms of the amount of fish handled, and is known informally as ""Hakata's Kitchen."" With the aim of making the market a friendly place that local residents feel comfortable visiting, Nagahama Fish Market has adopted the latest technology; Shijo Kaikan building at the heart of the market complex has restaurants where visitors can enjoy delicious seafood, as well as Uoching Plaza where people can have fun learning about fish. The second Saturday of every month is ""Citizen Appreciation Day,"" when ordinary members of the public are allowed into the area where the wholesale fish auctions take place to purchase fish for themselves."

Definitely a letdown. Nothing much happening here. No fish market for the public to visit, not even an outer section. Just a few restaurants in the next building serving food you can get elsewhere.
