Noko Udon is a Fukuoka specialty known throughout the country. The Noko Udon Factory is operated directly by the manufacturer of Noko Udon. Noko Udon is made according to a proprietary processes which uses wheat cut according to an old-fashioned method, and diners here can enjoy these slim and firm noodles self-serve style with toppings such as tempura and karashi mentaiko (salted cod roe with red pepper). Women get 100 yen off all menu items on Wednesdays. A 10-minute walk from the Hakata Exit at JR Hakata Station. Located inside Canal City Hakata.

Ive always found ramen to be too salty or heavy. Prefer udon and soba generally. This little restaurant in the mall is clean, friendly, and it makes an excellent light meal. Udon ranged from 500-700...

An udon noodle restaurant located in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City. Unlike Hakata style udon, characterized by plump, soft noodles, this restaurant's udon noodles are firm and chewy and are made with a blend of whole wheat and regular flour from Kyushu. They go great with the flavorful, additive-free dashi broth and katana shaped burdock tempura.

Though Ramen is very popular in Fukuoka City, there are also good Udon restaurants. This is one of my favorites Udon restaurants. I highly recommend “Samurai Special” which is Udon noodles in...

A soba noodle restaurant located in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City where customers can enjoy soba noodles made with flour home ground from select buckwheat from around the country chosen based on the season. The restaurant offers a variety of noodle thicknesses and ratios, such as slippery, chewy juwari soba noodles made with 100% buckwheat flour. The restaurant's tempura assortment, which includes plump shrimp tempura and tender lotus root tempura, goes great with sake.

Soba in hot broth, tofu skin sashimi, shrimp and vegetable tempura all excellent. The barley shochu was so smooth. This is a neighborhood gem that all visitors who are not meat obsessed should...

"An udon noodle restaurant located in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City. Here customers can enjoy unique and interesting udon noodle dishes, such as the ""Kamaage Zubora Udon,"" where noodles are boiled in kettles and served as they are; and the ""Ganso Keema Curry Udon"" noodles, which are designed to be enjoyed three different ways. The menu also offers non-udon noodle dishes like beef cheek meat slow simmered for a whole day in red wine; and ""Ebittsu,"" bar style deep fried shrimp."

I was lucky to be there thanks to Japanese lady who recomended. I was already full but I was looking for a udon ya in Hakata. I was the only foreigner but they have English menu with Japanese. Staff...

"An udon noodle restaurant located in Solaria Stage in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. Here customers can enjoy the establishment's famous Hakata style udon noodles made with top class flour and served in a ""tennen dashi"" broth crafted from choice ingredients. Selections from the expansive menu include udon with burdock tempura and shrimp tempura udon. Replete with table seats and decorated in a modern style, the restaurant is frequented not only by locals but also many tourists as well."

Located in the underground level of Solaria Stage building. If you arrive around 11:30, you can find your table right away. But around noon, you have to be in a queue outside the restaurant. The udon...

    Fukuoka Fukuoka-shi Hakata-ku Higashihirao 2-4-30
This restaurant specializing in straight-from-the-pot udon noodles is located right in front of Fukuoka Airport. Founded more than 40 years ago, it is popular for the flavor of its carefully-crafted udon noodles and broth. Their menu includes udon noodles and rice dishes as well as plenty of tasty udon toppings. We recommend their “goboten udon” topped with crunchy burdock root tempura, the soul of Fukuoka, and their “niku goboten udon topped with burdock root tempura and beef, which is their most popular item. We also recommend pairing them with their mixed rice with burdock root and chicken
