This public zoo in Noichicho, Konan City, Kochi Prefecture, is characteristic for the way in which the animals are kept in an environment which closely resembles their natural habitat. The zoo is divided into separate areas such as the Temperate Forest, the Tropical Forest, the Africa and Australia Zone, and the Jungle Museum, where lots of different animals such as otters, lesser pandas, giraffes, kangaroos, and shoe-billed storks live quite contently. The Children’s Zoo, where children can get hands-on with the guinea pigs and ponies is also popular.

The park is good but not best. In Japan, there are many zoological parks. If you have already visit some you can compare. But if you are first time to visit a Zoological park, surly you will get many...

Located within Murotozaki fishing port, the Muroto Dolphin Center is a dolphin care facility where you can experience dolphins up close. You get the opportunity to touch them, swim with them or try training them—there are many fun programs available. There are also special programs designed for children with developmental disorders such as autism to encourage them with sense of achievement. A facility for all to enjoy, from kids to adults, families and groups.

This is one of my favorite places in kochi! You can make great experience with dolphins! You can feed, do some signs, and even swim!!!

Kochi Areas

around-area-map

The largest of Shikoku's prefectures, Kochi is endowed with some of the island's most exceptional sand beaches lining the Pacific Ocean, which narrows into the Shimanto-gawa, a huge river that stretches 196 kilometers into the prefecture, passing verdant mountains and hosting countless riverside activities. Whether you're a pilgrim or not, Kochi's 16 Buddhist temples that make up one leg of the Shikoku Pilgrimage are worth a visit, particularly Chikurin-ji for its five-tier pagoda.
