- This neighborhood located on high ground in Gohonmatsu, Tobe Town, Iyo County is lined with numerous potteries and pottery galleries. These establishments make and sell Tobe-yaki Ware, one of the area’s local specialties. The Tourigaoka Golden Week Tobe-yaki Ware Fare held here between the end of April to early March features a variety of events including sales and exhibitions by each pottery.

- This walking path is located in Ominami, Tobe Town, Iyo County. Some 580 Tobe-yaki ceramic tiles are embedded into the walkway and the walls along it. Tobe-yaki is a local style of pottery that is a specialty of the region. One of the highlights along the path is Tosogaoka, where a monument to Josuke Sugino, the originator of Tobe-yaki pottery, has been erected. The path is a place where people can feel the history of Tobe-yaki pottery.
Ehime Areas
Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country’s oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
