    A museum located inside Baseyama Park situated along the Nishiumi Road. The museum displays an Imperial Japanese Navy Shiden Kai (Kawanishi N1K2-J) fighter plane which was pulled from the bottom of Hisayoshi Bay 40 meters under the surface of the sea in July 1979. The only extant model in the entire country, the plane sank entirely intact and was later restored, and thus it is also in very good condition. The plane belonged to the 343rd Air Service. After taking off from Omura Air Base, the plane engaged with American forces over the skies of the Bungo Channel. The plane then later apparently crashed into the ocean. Today, the plane is used to symbolize the prayer for eternal peace. Visitors can also view information on and pictures and archival footage of the Kawanishi N1K.

    Taga Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Uwajima City. The shrine has a museum which includes a priceless collection of artifacts, documents etc. from Japan, China, Korea, India, Nepal and other Asian countries, as well as from Europe, South America, etc., relating to the role of sex in religion, and related folk customs and traditions, etc. The Taga Shrine is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from JR Uwajima Station.

    This is the local sex shrine and museum. Plenty for your curiosity, but mostly weird and totally rubbish. Nevertheless,the tour bus will bring you here if you let it. Check out the giant wooden pXXXX...

    This museum is located in Kawanoe-cho, Shikokuchuo City. It features exhibits about the paper products of Shikokuchuo City, which is Japan’s biggest paper producer, as well as how they are made. The museum also hosts a variety of events including special exhibitions, seminars, and papermaking classes. Visitors can also purchase a variety of paper products at the museum shop.

    紙の町川之江らしい博物館です。 入場無料ということもあり、近くを通った際にふらりと立ち寄りました。 紙だけに関する資料館なので、あまり期待していなかったのですが、良い意味で裏切られました。 紙って奥深いものだと感心しました。 また、最近はコロナと関係で「不織布」に対する感心が高まりましたが、そういったことも知ることができました。 紙製品も販売していますので、お土産に紙製品というのも良いと思います。

    This history museum is located in Sumiyoshi-cho 2-Chome, Uwajima City. The renovated western-style building, which was originally built as the Uwajima Police Station, is listed as a National Tangible Cultural Property. Today, it exhibits a collection of historical materials and artifacts. It is next to the Site of the Kabasaki Battery, a designated Uwajma City Historical Site.

    宇和島城下に残る西洋館で元々は宇和島警察署として建てられました。明治１７年(１８８４)に建てられた２階のテラスが広々としている擬洋風建築です。 館内には宇和島の城下町時代その後の様子が豊富な資料や写真で紹介されてました。 宇和島市出身の高畠華宵の作品も沢山あり大正ロマンを感じさせます。 入館は無料です。

    A baseball history museum adjoining the main entrance to Botchan Stadium located right next to JR Ichitsubo Station. The museum has a professional baseball area introducing professional baseball players, as well as an amateur baseball area. In the pro area, large panels present the two all-star games previously held at the stadium. There are also items which have belonged to professional baseball players born in Ehime Prefecture, Ichiro, Hideki Matsui, and others. In the amateur area, there is a statue of Masaoka Shiki, the man who first brought baseball to Ehime; and video highlights showing some of the greatest achievements of Ehime high school players in the famous Koshien championship.

Visitors can tour the interior of the home, which has many of the characteristics of an Edo period machiya, and also see household goods, farming implements, and other items on display.

    410円で楽しめる極上の温泉！ヌルッとした肌触りがなんとも言えず良いんです。内湯だけで数種類あり、小さいですが露天風呂もあります。ついでに打たせ湯も！無味無臭ですが、ヌルッとした感じで肌にまとわりつく温泉です。地元の方たちの銭湯と化した感じですが、皮膚炎に効くのか、肌がスベスベになりました。

    同じ建物を西条郷土博物館と半分ずつ使っています。 民芸の博物館はあちこちありますが、この博物館も展示の美しさはさすがといった感じ。焼き物、染物、土人形から木工家具類までがバランスよく配置されています。

    車で移動中に看板を見かけて訪ねてみました。100円を支払い展示施設を見学しました。受付にいた方が14500年前にさかのぼって弥生時代、そして現代に至るまでをとても詳しく説明してくださいました。こんな山深い地域に太古の昔から人類の歴史が刻まれていたとは驚きました！とても勉強になりました。

    西条市街を見下ろす山の上。建物がなかなかで、高床式住居を模した巨大なビル建築。ちょっと途方もないものを建ててしまったという感じですね。 ただ、一方で、展示の方はちょっと浅いような。遺跡の出土品とかもありますが、僅かなもの。特に貴重なものでもないし、正直、あまり大したことはないように思います。

    この日暮別邸はもともとは瀬戸内海に浮かぶ四阪島という、住友の製錬所の島にあった、明治時代からの建造物です。2018年に新居浜市内の小高い山の上にに移設され、誰でも訪れることができるようになりました。 建物は当時の設計のまま移築されているとのこと。明治時代を偲ぶ洋館も素晴らしいのですが、洋館に至る坂道に植えられた花や植物がよく手入れされて非常に綺麗だったこと、新居浜市内を一望する景色が良かったです...

Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country’s oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
