    Kagawa Pref. Takamatsushi Megichou 2633
This large cave is on Megijima Island, associated with Onigashima from Japan's Momotaro legend. Located part way up Mt. Washigamine in the center of the island, it covers about 4,000 square meters and is 400 meters deep. It's popular for its reproductions of an ogre banquet hall, living room, and ogre guard's quarters from the story. The gift shop next to the cave serves millet dumplings, a favorite of the legend's hero.

Kagawa Areas

Japan’s smallest prefecture, Kagawa, may take up just a small corner of Shikoku, but it has grown increasingly popular with the recognition of Naoshima, its "art island" in the Seto Inland Sea between Shikoku and Honshu. Just a stone’s throw from the islands, mainland Kagawa’s prefectural capital, Takamatsu, holds history in its castle ruins and its pride and joy, Ritsurin Garden, is known as one of the country’s best gardens.
