In the spacious restaurant is a large fish tank filled with freshly caught fish from the Seto Inland Sea. Known for its reasonably priced seafood cuisine, the cooks will select one of the live fish from the tank and prepare it for you as sashimi, simmered, grilled as you prefer. The menu is quite versatile, as the catch of fish changes from day to day and with the season. Some dishes can only be enjoyed on that day. Overlooking the fishing harbor lined with rows of the fishing boats, patrons are given an delightful view to enjoy while their food is being prepared.

    This is an olive specialty shop established in 1955. They manufacture and sell high quality food and cosmetic products containing ingredients derived from the olive. They are the proud owners of Japan's largest olive orchards; one that is 12.5 hectares on Shodo Island and another of 13 hectares on Toshima Island. Unlike olive farmers overseas, where the olives are harvested by machine all at once, their farm has the distinction of handpicking all of the olives to carefully select those that have not been damages by pests. The highest-grade olive oil, pressed in their own factory, has received awards both in Japan and worldwide. This oil, a treasure directly from nature itself, and makes a wonderful souvenir or can be shipped as a gift.

    This is a chopstick specialty store along the pilgrimage stairway to Konpira Shrine. Situated right at the 100th stair along the flight of stairs leading to the shrine, this shop carries an assortment of chopsticks that are suitable for many various uses and occasions. Wakasa lacquered chopsticks, have multiple layers of beautifully colored lacquer are popular for their durability. They come with various designs of shells or flower petals, but above all they feel very comfortable in the hand. They even sell an assortment of chopsticks made for eating certain dishes like udon, grilled fish, or sashimi. One set of chopsticks, called kattobashi, are made from recycled baseball bats. These make great gifts as they don’t take up space and yet are very unique.
