    Momijitei is an Iya Soba (buckwheat noodles) restaurant in a converted traditional farmhouse with a marvelous atmosphere, situated above the Oboke Gorge. The restaurant specialty is handmade Soba noodles made with locally-sourced ingredients. Diners can ask for Udon noodles instead if they prefer (at the same price). In the winter months, the restaurant also serves Oden, which is very popular too. Diners enjoy impressive views of the gorge through the windows as they eat.

    家族で訪問しました。 利用は2回目です。 清潔感のある解放的な店内で 徳島ラーメンが味わえます。 徳島ラーメンは 関西人的にはやや濃い味に感じるかも? でも、生卵を落としたり、 白ご飯を残ったスープに混ぜ込んだりと、 徳島ラーメン的作法さえわかっていたら、 丁度良くなると思います。 なんで、食べ方は… お店の人に遠慮なく聞いた方が良いかも? 折角の徳島ラーメン、楽しまなきゃ(^。^)

    Oi Shokudo located about five minutes’ walk from JR Naruto station is a long-established udon noodle restaurant where the fifth generation owner currently displays his skills. His udon noodles prepared from early morning every day are traditional handmade noodles. They are often sold out just after lunch as customers constantly come to the popular restaurant after it opens at 10 a.m. It is popular as the smooth thin noodles are mixed well with a soup that has a punch of bonito flavor, and the delicate taste warms up body and soul. It uses succulent deep fried tofu made by a well-known local shop.

    Established in 1969, Shina Soba Sampa is the main restaurant of a chain that serves Tokushima ramen with golden broth. It offers both counter and table service and has priority seating for families with children and for the elderly. The golden broth, produced by slowly simmering pork and chicken bones, is popular for being rich but light soy sauce flavor that is easy to eat and extremely popular. Customers who order Chashumen (noodles with pork slices) can choose between rib meat and loin meat. For dessert, customers can order soft-serve ice cream, which has been offered since the restaurant was founded. Note that customers must pay in advance by buying a meal ticket from a vending machine.

    This udon noodle restaurant opened in 1965. The ability to take in views of the Miyagawauchi River while enjoying a washbasin full of udon noodles has kept it popular all these years. Their flavorful secret dipping sauce, made with plentiful amounts of more than 10 stock ingredients including dried sardines, kombu seaweed, and katsuobushi (shaved dried skipjack tuna), is provided with a beaten egg in a small pot. Other popular items include their karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken), which is tossed in a home-made sauce, and grilled shiitake mushrooms, which are grown on natural logs in Awa City and served with ponzu (yuzu citrus and soy sauce) and sudachi citrus.

    車を止めて坂を下っていって、川沿いでまずは注文。混んでて注文するまでに30分ほど待ちました。川がキレイで癒されます。たらいうどんは出てくるのに30分ほどかかります。たれが濃いめですが、うどんの茹で汁が入るとちょうどよくなります。鮎の塩焼きや釜飯も美味しかったです。

    This Naruto udon shop has made its simple noodles by hand the same way since it was founded more than 40 years ago. Great attention is paid to make sure the thin and springy noodles are easy to eat. Their tempura, croquettes, and oden (hodgepodge stew), which is stewed in a special broth for hours, are also popular. Their take-home udon noodle sets, which are said to taste the same even when made at home, are also highly popular.

    久し振りに寄ってみたら建屋が跡形もなくなってました。仕方がないので住吉店でうどんを食べ尋ねてみたところ、地鎮祭を行ったばかりで、いつ再開かわからないとのこと。HPでも再開時期の記載はないので、しばらくは美味しいうどんを食べるのは我慢です。「やま」の中では幸町店が一番うまい。
