    "This Roadside Station is on Yamaguchi Prefecture Route 32, Hagishuho line. At local produce ""Vegetable Mart"" visitors can buy fresh vegetables. The famous ""Hirata-san Tomatoes"" are very popular and people wait in queues to buy them. The ""Shoin Memorial Museum"" is also at the station in addition to restaurants and take-out food sellers. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists."

    休憩所として訪れた、道の駅。松陰記念館や萩にまつわる有名人の銅像もあり、ちょっとした観光地ですね。この道路は昔から萩市内に入る時に使用した道だったそうです。吉田松陰や高杉晋作など萩に所縁のある人々はどのような思いでこの道を辿ったのでしょうか。ちょっと、物思いにふけながらこの道を通り、萩を後にしました。

You can also find products that use Tamagawa’s speciality Nagato yuzukichi citrus. Various facilities are also available such as a restaurant and resting area. You can also find Tamagawa Hot Spring close by, which attracts many visitors.

    萩から角島大橋に向かう途中に食事をとろうと思って立ち寄りました。晴れていたので絶景を見ながら食事をとりたかったのですが、順番待ちに時間がかかりそうなのであきらめて食堂で売っていたお弁当を買いました。リーズナブルなお弁当だったのですが美味しかったです。時間がない方にはお弁当もおすすめです。

    道の駅としてはそんなに大きいところでなくこじんまりとしていました。レストランも併設されていますが、レストランと言うより村の食堂という感じです。自分は１日１０食限定の日替わりランチをいただきましたが、この日は魚のフライでした。山の中でん？っておもいましたが、ご飯と小鉢のかぼちゃの煮つけは美味しかったです。

    名前にうり坊と付いているだけあって中では猪の肉が豊富に売られていました。ちょうど１月下旬でジビエの時期と合っていたのもあるのでしょうが、これだけの品ぞろえをしているところもなかなかないですね。

    萩に行く時によく立ち寄ります。 巨大なガラス張りの屋根が目を引きます。 冬になると温室として利用しシクラメンなどの販売を行うのだとか。 やはり何と言っても新鮮な野菜や果物が魅力です。
