- Hiroshima River Cruise
- Travel / Tourism
- Hiroshima Pref. Hiroshimashinakaku Otemachi 1-9 Location
- Enjoy the sights offered by the “city of water” from atop a boat on this river cruise. Boarding takes place on the Motoyasugawa Pier in front of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. The entire trip requires about 25 minutes and takes passengers on a cruise along the Ota River, passing by the Genbaku Dome (Atomic Bomb Dome), a World Heritage Site, on the way. The boat, which used to be used by the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Nagasaki, has a very exotic design. Feel the gentle breeze on top of the water and experience Hiroshima in a way that walking can’t match. The boarding area is about a three-minute walk from Genbaku Dome-mae Station on the Hiroden Line.

Hiroshima Areas
There is more than meets the eye awaiting any Hiroshima-bound traveler. Kicking off in Hiroshima city, the Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Castle, and Shukkeien Garden offer a couple of days of exploring; however, the real beauty lies along the southern coast of the prefecture. There, a series of islands spreads across the Seto Inland Sea: from the mysterious sea-submerged Great Torii Gate at Miyajima Island to the first half of the islands that connect Honshu to Shikoku via six spectacular suspension bridges.
