    Okayama Pref. Bizenshi Imbe 1657-7
    This hall is attached to Inbe Station in Inbe, Bizen City. Besides providing tourism information and selling goods, it exhibits and sells works by members of Bizen yaki tou yu kai (Bizen Ceramics Association), and holds workshops to experience making Bizen-yaki ware on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (for a fee, reservation required). Every October, the “Bizen Pottery Festival” is held throughout the entire area.

    伊部駅に併設している建物で、備前のいろいろな窯元の作品があり、購入もできるようなので、最初に一通り見てから、お気に入りの窯元の所に行くのもよいかも。

    This select shop offers the very best of Okayama. It is found just inside the shopping arcade stretching from Shiroshita Station on the Okaden Higashiyama line. They offer Okayama specialty fruits like nashi pears, peaches, and grapes, as well as seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, and local sake. In addition to food and drink, they also sell knickknacks and handicrafts like Bizen ware and Kurashiki Igusa straw bags. This shop is packed with all the charms of Okayama prefecture. They also have regular seasonal events. It's the perfect spot to look for your Kibiji souvenirs.

    市電の城下駅から表町商店街のアーケードに入ったところにある物産施設です。店舗の規模は大きくありませんが、きび団子をはじめ岡山土産が揃っています。

    This souvenir shop is on the second floor of Okayama Station, inside the local train ticket gates. They have a wide range of local specialty treats that are perfect Okayama souvenirs, including kibidango dumplings, Ote manju buns, and Murasuzume bean cakes.

    朝早めに時間帯に立寄ったところ、相変わらず駅弁コーナーはオープン前で、結局近くのコンビニに移動せざるを得ませんでした。因みに日中から夜にかけては通常営業していたものの、土産物調達とは別コーナーとなっており、品数も売切れが増えていた事から、手土産に適当な「大手まんぢゅう」だけ購入しました。

    Located in Fukiya, Nariwa Town, Takahashi City, Bengara-ya is a shop selling items that make use of the “bengara” red ochre pigment that is one of the region’s local specialty products. These items include fashion accessories and ornaments made with bengara, as well as bengara-glaze ceramics, etc. The shop itself is situated in a historic old house which is bengara-colored.

    This souvenir shop is inside Okayama Korakuen garden. This shop is found inside the Kansya-tei, a hall once used for retainers to demonstrate their archery for the Okayama feudal lord. Their Okayama specialties include Ganso Kibidango dumplings, Tsuru-no-tamago marshmallow cakes, and Tancho crane sweets, as well as pickled sardinella, local sake and beer, and more. Their cafe area offers light meals like spaghetti and hamburger steaks, as well as matcha with kibidango on the side.

    愛美工房売店は、アイビースクエアのホテル棟を出たところにある、小さなショップです。 店内には、手づくり感あふれる小物がたくさん並んでいました。どれも私の好みで、たくさん迷ったあげく、いろいろ購入してしまいました。小物好き、雑貨好きには、たまらないお店です！

    帰省して必ずと言って良いくらいお土産を買いに行く所です。 ついつい見ていると時間の経つのをわすれてしまうくらいいろいろと揃っています。見ているだけで楽しくなります。

    赤穂線伊部駅前にある備前焼の店が立ち並ぶ通りにあります。毎年10月に開催される備前焼まつりの際に訪れました。いろいろな種類の備前焼が並んでいて、備前焼好きには見ているだけでも楽しいです。

    県道5号線沿いにある、小さな農産物直売所です。店の前には花や野草などが、店内には農産物やお菓子などが売っています。小さい店なので当然品数も少なく、午後に行くとほとんどが売り切れでした。川沿いの田園風景が広がるのんびりしたところでした。

Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior.
