    菩提寺の大イチョウ。 巨大で写真に収まらない。 巨大なだけでなく、四方八方に伸びた大枝や垂れ下がった気根、この時期なのに葉がまだ緑色で、900歳とは思えない若々しさ。 樹齢900年、幹周り13m、樹高40m。 法然聖人がここで修行中に植えたと伝えられています。 菩提寺の近くにある大イチョウたちのDNAが同じであることが分かったそうで、彼が子孫を増やしているのかもしれません。
