    This is a Bizenyaki pottery gallery and cafe located along the Sanyo Road in Inbe, Bizen City. The gallery exhibits and sells Bizenyaki works from famous artists to casual everyday items. The cafe offers matcha powdered green tea and coffee with a sweet, light refreshments such as sandwiches and sweets, all served on bizen-yaki dishes.

    伊部駅から5分ほどです。備前焼の器でコーヒーをいただけます。気に入ったものがあれば、購入もできます。値段は高いですが、良いものがたくさんありました。

    A five-minute walk from JR Kagato Station. Here in Bizen's largest gallery you'll find a diverse array of Bizen-ware pottery from well-known artists on display and available for purchase. Come enjoy the simple warmth of Bizen-ware pottery to the fullest extent as you look, touch, and create the splendor. In addition to Bizen-ware pottery that can be used for a variety of purposes, such as sake sets and tableware, they also sell gift sets which include local liquor and foodstuffs. They offer pottery classes (reservation required) where you can make your own original pieces of art. After your piece has dried it will be fired in an ascending kiln and then posted to you after it is finished.

    駅周辺のメインどころから少し離れており、車で無いと寄れませんが、色々な作品があり、訳あり品なども豊富でリーズナブルに買い物ができます。カフェもあるし、要予約で陶芸体験も可能、ミニ展示などもあり食品のお土産も揃う、外せないお店です。

    This dyeing workshop and gallery is about a 10-minute walk from JR Chugoku-Katsuyama Station. The workshop is at the back of the shop, and the noren curtains used in the Katsuyama Townscape Preservation District are made here. The gallery is housed in a remodeled sake brewery building that's about 250 years old, and it displays and sells plant-dyed coasters, tenugui towels, handkerchiefs, and more, as well as taking orders for custom noren curtains and tapestries.

    A 10-minute walk from JR Kurashiki Station. This folk arts shop and rental gallery, located in Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, operate out of renovated former rice storehouse from the Edo Period. Under the giant beams in the shop you'll find a variety of works including hand-made ceramics, glass work, woven rush, and dyed pieces. Their assorted five-color Rush Coasters, made from domestic natural rush with cutely designed Japanese patterned silk edging, are a popular product. The rental gallery has a large room on the first floor and a smaller room on the second floor. In the attached annex building you'll get a special feeling as you take of your shoes and ascend into the building. Tours are available as requested.

    A 10-minute drive from the Bizen Interchange on the Sanyo Expressway. This pottery studio creates and sells Bizen-ware pottery and is located on a large plot of land surrounded by plum and cherry trees. Bizen-ware pottery is popular for its ease of use and wide variety of designs. In the first-floor gallery you'll find a variety of works on display and for sale including everything from reasonable everyday items such as mugs an tea cups to masterpieces made by Living National Treasures of Japan. You can also try throwing your own pieces with their pottery course. In the spring they hold a Plum Festival with performances including Taiko drumming and then later in the season you can enjoy the countless blooming cherry trees. You can also make reservations for Bizen curry and bento lunches.

Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior.
