    This interactive facility is in a corner of the Institute of Animal Production at the Okayama Prefectural Technology Center for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in the Kita area of Misaki Town, Kume County. Inside the park with a promenade, there is a plaza where you can interact with animals, adventure playground, dog park, lavender garden and herb garden. In addition, there is also a workshop that manufactures and sells dairy products, ham and sweets, restaurants and a barbecue terrace.

    This dog park is part of an animal welfare facility on Shinjo river, about a 20-minute drive from San-yo Interchange on the Sanyo Expressway. With 2,500 square meters of space, the park has see-saws, hurdles, and other dog play equipment, as well as running water, benches, and roofed gazebos. You can use it for free up to two hours. You must check in at the attached welfare center, and since it is closed on Tuesdays, so is the dog park. This is a lovely place not only for dogs to play together, but for conversations between owners as well.

    This dog park is on the grounds of Roadside Station Miyama Park, about a 20-minute walk from Bizen-Tai Station on the JR Uno line, or an easy Ryobi bus ride from Okayama Station. The medium- and large dog (10 kg and over) area is 550 square meters, and there is a separate space for very small dogs inside the medium dog circle, which is sure to reassure their owners. The small and medium dog area is 600 square meters, with a very small dog area of 80 square meters inside it. All have well-tended lawns, and not only can the dogs play freely, but there's a free-use space of 120 square meters, as well. There are dog toilets and water areas, as well.

    Located a 15-minute drive from the Oku Interchange on the Okayama Blue Line. Come enjoy a sea kayak tour in the waters of Ushimado. They offer a variety of tours from a simple two-hour course aimed at families that every elementary school-aged and older can participate in to a six-hour course that includes an outdoor lunch. From May to October they also offer a special limited twilight trail option. Veteran guides will select the best route depending on the day's sea condition and will carefully explain how to paddle and control the kayak making this a safe experience even for beginners. All tours are by reservation only.

    曇っていて天気はいまいちでしたが、たくさんのヨットを見に行きました。停泊しているすぐそばまで、行け、沖にもヨットがちらほら。山を見ても、海を見ても、風景が素敵でした。併設の建物もおしゃれでした。

    こじんまりとして必要最低限という感じですが、簡素なぶんお値段も格安。大阪の人も多く利用しているのでは？観光地ではありません。

Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior. One of Japan’s Three Great Gardens, Koraku-en in Okayama city is well worth a visit before progressing to Kurashiki, where preserved wooden Edo buildings line the picturesque canal.
