    Tottori Kurayoshi-shi Shinmachi 1
This ceramics shop and studio is situated amidst Kurayoshi's Shirakabe Storehouses (White Wall District), which has been designated the Kurayoshi City Utsubukitamagawa Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. The shop is outfitted with an electric kiln and offers a fun and easy pottery making activity for visitors. The shop's pottery, dubbed Utsubuki ware, uses a glaze which can only be obtained in the Kurayoshi region. Inside a renovated old Japanese home, you can make your very own pottery, such as a beer mug, mug, or yunomi teacup. The shop can handle up to around 40 participants at a time and is gaining attention as a tour destination for student field trips, company outings, and other travel groups.

    Tottori Tohaku-gun Misasacho Yokote 15-1
A hands-on facility for experiencing local culture about 15 minutes by car from Kurayoshi Station on the JR San-in Main Line. Located on the banks of the Mitoku River, there is a specialty shop, a textile hall, and workshop studio. The shop's most popular food item is their Kami-no-Shokutaku, limited to 30 meals per day. It's known for using a local soybean variety grown at Kamikura near Mt. Mitoku that contains 1.5 to 2 times more isoflavone than regular soybeans. Sets of all-you-can-eat natto made with large soybeans on rice with tofu, pickles, and miso soup are served as well. They also offer unique workshops like for Misasa-ori weaving using Tottori pear dyeing fabric, and Hakuro-yaki pottery, related to a local folk tale.

A tourist farm in central Tottori, an area blessed with pure water and air. They raise strawberries with their own special methods developed from the knowledge and experience gained from their time as a fertilizer shop. Their Wakaba Growing Method involves making high-quality organic matter that's easy for plants to absorb, reviving degraded soil to produce healthy and disease-resistant crops. The best strawberries are produced with thorough, careful management of cultivation using various enzymes. Strawberry picking runs between March and June. Reservations are essential, so be sure to contact them in advance.
