This is the largest Chinese garden in Japan that was made as a symbol of friendship between Tottori Prefecture and Hebei Province in China. It is located near “Togo Onsen”, one of the hot springs in the Nashi-no-hana hot spring village. The beautiful and magnificent utopia that the successive Chinese emperors favored is designed in the garden and there are many scenic places such as the Sankeiken, long corridors and Nanahoshibashi bridge. Events are held in the garden and a Chinese acrobatic show can be seen every day, as well as China dress rentals, and annual events for the Chinese New Year and Sento-setsu festival.

"This ancient Soto Buddhist temple was founded in 1605. Originally the family temple of Nakamura Hikozaemon Kazushige, lord of Numazu Castle in Suruga Province (now Shizuoka Prefecture) and called the Keikyuji, the temple was moved to what is now Yabase when Nakamura was forcibly relocated here by the government. Satomi Tadayoshi, the last lord of Tateyama Castle in Awa Province (now Chiba Prefecture), whose tale served as the basis for Takizawa Bakin's novel ""Nanso Satomi hakkenden"", is buried on the grounds. Eight of his retainers are also buried here, and eight stone statues of dogs face the graves. An ancient Ming China Sancai bowl, which records state was willed to the temple by Satomi Tadayoshi, has been designated a Protected Cultural Property by the prefecture."

The shrine is dedicated to Takehazuchi-no-mikoto and Shimoteruhime-no-mikoto, gods of safe delivery, etc. Although the date of establishment is not known, it is thought that the shrine was built to worship Takehazuchi-no-mikoto, the ancestral god of textiles, since there were many Yamato people who made their living by weaving in this area. The shrine is still crowded with visitors praying for safe delivery on the day of the dog.

A beach in Yurihama-cho that inherited its name from the town's previous moniker, Hawai-cho. The wide open resort beach has white sand and a blue sea. It's 200-meter long and 50-meter wide, has toilets and showers, and gets crowded with locals and tourists alike. Many people visit in combination with a hot spring trip to Hawai Onsen. Ten-minutes away by car, it's known for appearing in TV commercials.

This is a temple established at 900 meters height situated in Mt. Mitoku. The building is built protruding from a steep cliff wall, and is designated as a National Treasure. The mountain road to the temple is extremely dangerous with many accidents so please take care. It is recommended that you view the temple from the “Nageiredo” distant worship spot in the mountain foothills.

    Tottori Pref. Kurayoshishi Shinmachi Around
"Shirakabe traditional warehouse district of Kurayoshi City is located around 40 minutes' drive from either the Yubara Interchange or the Hiruzen Interchange of the Yonago Expressway. Known as ""Little Kyoto"" because of its elegant appearance, the warehouse district has traditional white-walled warehouse buildings and stone bridges crossing the Tamagawa River that flows through the city, creating a magical retro atmosphere; this is one of the most Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Most of the warehouse buildings-which combine black walls made from burnt cedar wood with white wall plaster and red Sesshu tiled roofs-were built in the Edo period (1603-1868) or the Meiji period (1868-1912). Several of the warehouses have been refurbished inside, such as Akagawara Ichigokan (which now houses several first-rate shops selling local specialty products); others are now used as cafes, art galleries, etc."

A ground golf course with three courses - an outer course, inner course, and cape course. Tomari is the birthplace of ground golf, a game similar to golf in which you hit a ball and count how many strokes it takes to get it into a hole. The whole family, not just senior citizens, can enjoy playing a round on courses with sweeping views of the vast Sea of Japan. There's also a multipurpose grass lawn with a large white wind turbine, a symbol of the facility, and here visitors can run, play, or lie down and relax on the grass. In the summer, visitors can take in stunning fireworks shows.

"A museum located at the foot of Mt. Utsubukiyama with its tales of heavenly maidens, about 20 minutes by car from Kurayoshi Station. In a modern building with white walls and a shed roof, the museum is split into art and history sections. There are exhibits on local history and culture. The entire premises, including the waterways in the courtyard, symbolize Kurashiki's cityscape. In 1975, it won the Building Contractors Society Award. In addition to displaying the work of local writers such as Maeta Kanji and Suga Tatehiko, they also hold public commendation projects and feature exhibits. Maeta and his peers are known as ""Local Treasures,"" and this is a special chance to see their work up close."

This townhome was built in 1760. It is said to be the oldest of the extant merchant homes in Kurayoshi. Consisting of a main building and annex, the residence was built in the sukiya-shoin-zukuri-style. The Makita family, to whom the residence belonged, were some of Kurayoshi's most well-known merchants; because of their close connection to the wealthy Yodoya merchant family (who famously built the Yodoya Bridge in Osaka with their own funds), they were also known as the Kurayoshi Yodoya. After renovation work conducted from 2007 to 2008, the main building and annex are both now open to viewing by the general public. The city's Dairenji Temple, to which the Makita family was connected, is the location of several generations of heads of the Yodoya family, each of whom took the name Yodoya Seibe, and many tourists visit both this residence and the temple.

This is a temple of the Tendai Buddhist sect, with grounds on the 900 meters Mt. Mitoku. It is said that Enno Oguno was opened as a gyoba (practice site) for Shugendo mountain asceticism in 706, though details are scarce. It is famous for the Nageiredo sub temple built into the crevice of a sheer cliff, and even today details of the building method are not fully revealed making it a national treasure. Aside from the main temple, the grounds are dotted with halls designated important cultural properties including those for Monjudo and Jizodo. In the Homotsuden (treasure house) is Nageiredo’s original object of worship, a wooden standing statue of Zao Gongen. *Climbing to Nageiredo is currently prohibited because of the Tottori Prefecture Chubu Earthquake.
