With a large alcove and long veranda facing the garden, its frontage is more extensive than other local merchant houses, telling of the family's former prosperity. Tottori Pref. Tottorishi Hakuto
"The Hakuto Beach is an area of coastline located at the western end of the Tottori Sand Dunes. It is famous as the setting for the legend of the White Hare of Inaba, which is recorded in the Kojiki (""Record of Ancient Matters""). Special features include the view of the Oki Islands, from which the White Hare crossed over to the mainland by getting Wanizame (sea-monsters or sharks) to line up in a row so that he could jump from one to another, and the beautiful scenery created by the eroded rocks that resemble stepping-stones. Visitors can enjoy strolling along the coast and soaking up the unique atmosphere that its mythological connections have imbued it with, and in the summer they can enjoy sea-bathing and surfing. Near the beach is an area which is the southernmost point in Japan where Rosa rugose (Sweetbriar), a National Treasure Protected Species, grows in the wild; in early summer, visitors can see the Sweetbriar in bloom. Due to its associations with the legend of the White Hare of Inaba, Japan's earliest love story, the Hakuto Beach has been designated a Lover's Sanctuary Project site."

There are around 500 Yoshino Cherry trees in the park, and it is a famous spot for viewing cherry blossom in the spring. "Fudoin Iwayado Temple is located around 10 minutes' drive from Wakasa Station on the Wakasa Railway Line, or around one hour's drive from the Yamazaki Interchange of the Chugoku Expressway. Built in the Butai-zukuri style inside a natural cave, the temple ranks among the three largest Nageiredo hall in Japan. Hondo (Main Hall) was originally constructed in 806, and subsequently rebuilt during the Muromachi period (1336-1573). The larger temple of which it was part was burned down during an invasion of the region by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in the 16th century, leaving only Fudoin Iwayado building, which has been designated as a National Important Cultural Property. The main object of veneration in the temple-a statue of Fudomyo (one of the Five Wisdom Kings)-was carved by Kobo Daishi at the age of 33, and is one of the ""Three Great Statues of Fudomyo"" in Japan; the general public are allowed to view the statue twice a year, during the Goma Hoyo ceremonies in March and July."
