    Sandboarding is a new sport that takes place in the Tottori Sand Dunes, with boarders sliding down the 30-degree slopes of the sand-dunes towards the Sea of Japan. Sandboarding classes can be booked at the Tottori Sakyu Sand Board School. Participants assemble at the Tottori Sand Dunes Rakudaya facility on Prefectural Route 319 in Yuyama, Fukube Town, Tottori City.

    "A complex at the foot of Mt. Hyonosen. It offers a variety of facilities, such as a nature trail, ski slope, campground, and the Hibiki-no-Mori Nature Hall. Mt. Hyonosen is the second highest mountain in the Chugoku region after Mt. Daisen and is at the heart of the facility. It's the main peak of Hyonosen-Ushiroyama-Nagisan Quasi-National Park, home to a diversity of flora and fauna including alpine plants, crested kingfishers and golden eagles (a Natural Monument), as well as a beech forest, also known as the ""Mother Forest."" Visitors enjoy various activities such as mountain climbing, skiing, autumn camping, and stargazing among the picturesque seasonal scenery."
