A ground golf course with three courses - an outer course, inner course, and cape course. Tomari is the birthplace of ground golf, a game similar to golf in which you hit a ball and count how many strokes it takes to get it into a hole. The whole family, not just senior citizens, can enjoy playing a round on courses with sweeping views of the vast Sea of Japan. There's also a multipurpose grass lawn with a large white wind turbine, a symbol of the facility, and here visitors can run, play, or lie down and relax on the grass. In the summer, visitors can take in stunning fireworks shows.

I chanced upon this park because I decided to explore around instead of waiting for the local bus which comes every hour. Spontaneity doesn’t always pay off but it did in this case, which was a...

The waters of the bathhouse' alkaline simple spring are drawn up from 1,150 meters underground and are said to have a refreshing effect and to treat nerve pain and sensitivity to cold.

    Accommodations / Hot Spring
    Tottori Tohaku-gun Yurihamacho Hikiji 560-7
A multi-purpose hot spring recreation facility that draws its water from San-in's Togo Onsen. It has 10 baths, including two that you use without wearing a bathing suit. The fantastic sight of steam rising from the lake surface is a natural phenomenon occurring from hot springs bubbling up at the bottom of the lake. The sight of people clamming in the morning mists of Lake Togo, also known as Crane Lake, have an almost otherworldly feel. The large and small outdoor baths look out on Lake Togo. There are also lots of other facilities for your fun and enjoyment too, like a misting sauna and a pool with a 27-meter waterslide.

Tottori Yazu-gun Yazucho Nishidani Funaoka Takebayashi Park
The first mini steam locomotive museum in Japan, where 18 steam locomotives (SL) are on display at Funaoka Chikurin Park (which has one of the country's leading bamboo groves). Actually powered by burning coal, all of the mini SLs are handmade. The trains change every weekend and run through the seasonal garden in the park. The various models will excite train enthusiasts, including a D51 type steam locomotive (a leading model of the former Japanese National Railways), a superheated steam tank locomotive C21, and a classic British steam train called Royal Scot Class by the former London, Midland and Scottish Railway .
