    Located in Shimomisu, Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, this longstanding dried plum producer opened in 1897, and this is the main factory’s direct sales store. The large interior carries many varieties of dried plums, with a focus on Kishu Nanko plums, as well as plum liquor with the scent and taste of ripe plums, various plum-based ingredients, and more. There’s an eating space as well. The staff offer a popular free tour that explains the manufacturing process, and there’s an adjoining gallery with art exhibitions related to plums as well.

    This is a select shop for woodworking tools inside the Michi-no-Eki roadside station Mizu-no-sato Hidakagawa-Ryuyu along National Route 424 in Fukui, Ryujin Village, Tanabe City. They sell furniture including tables and chairs handmade by artisans from Ryujin Village's hinoki (cypress) and sugi (cedar). They also deal in works of local artists including stained glass and ceramics.

    こんなに座り心地の良い木の椅子や作品があるのかしら・・・と、本当に座ってみて感激しました。 それに木で作ったからくりのようなオルゴール、かわいいイラストや切り絵、陶芸から多様な作品が展示されていて、山奥の田舎にいるということを忘れてしまいます。 外観からは想像も出来ないくらい、中が素敵です。 是非立ち寄ってみてくださいね
