A public municipal park located across the Arida River from Minoshima Station on the Kii Main Line. The park was created in 1950 by Toyomatsu Norioka to honor the souls of all the innocent, non-military persons who died during the battles of the Pacific War. In 1967, it was gifted to the city and turned into a public park. Numerous cherries, azaleas, and other attractive trees and plants grow on the park’s 5,186 square meter grounds. Today, the park is renowned in spring for its beautiful blossoming cherry trees, known locally as the “Muen-san no Sakura” (“Cherry Trees of the Innocent”). The top of the park’s mountain commands a view of the mouth of the Arida River and the beach of Hatsushima, famous Shikoku destinations. Buddhist memorial services are held in the park in spring and summer which attract many visitors.

This area is approximately ten minutes on foot from JR Yuasa Station. Yuasa-cho was a stop-over town for pilgrims walking the Kumano Kodo trail as well as a soy sauce production area, a craft that originated with the introduction of Kinzanji-miso by monks during the Kamakura Period (1185–1333) who had trained in China. The town's whole historic district remains. Approximately 400 meters to the east and west and 280 meters to the north and south of Nakamachi-dori Street has been designated an Important National Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The atmospheric streets and small lanes crisscrossing the area with their old merchant houses and soy sauce breweries give a feel of the tradition and culture of the Edo (1603–1868) and Meiji Period (1868–1912).

This is the most spectacularly preserved village that bisects of the creation of the famous Soy Sauce. Really enjoyed a leisurely walk after a simple but tasty lunch.

This restaurant adjoins the Sunshine business hotel, notable for its up-close view of the vast natural beauty of the Arida River and Mt. Myojin. The restaurant is just a five-minute drive from JR Kii-Miyahara Station on the opposite side of the river. The restaurant’s name means “Ayu Tea House,” and as this implies, the establishment takes pride in its ayu cuisine and other dishes made with fish varieties like largehead hairtail (caught in larger quantities here than anywhere else in Japan), and wild longtooth grouper caught in the Kii Channel. Particularly notable is the restaurant’s largehead hairtail rice bowls and oju lacquered boxes, original recipe dishes only a few servings of which are offered each day. Other menu selections, like the wild longtooth grouper hot pot set and kaiseki course cuisine, give diners the chance to fully savor the flavors of the Kii Channel.

Taking pride in dishes made with seasonal Wakayama ingredients such as Nanko plums, a local specialty product, and other fruits, the café offers pastas, oven-baked pizzas, and sweets. This popular ramen shop has been featured in a variety of media. Taking a page from the playbooks of popular Japanese restaurants, their ramen's broth and trimmings feature an array of local ingredients. The shop's soy sauce ramen comes recommended. It features broth made of dried niboshi from iwashi sardines, mackerel, and saury blended with Wakayama-made soy sauce and topped with Umedori chashu pork. They have lots of other kinds of ramen to choose from too. These include their Tokuno ramen has a scrumptious broth that's thick as potage, and their Gekko Japanese Style Tonkotsu ramen has a light yet sophisticated flavor. They also have three kinds of tsukemen dipping ramen. You can choose the quantity of the noodles.

The station’s name derives from the prominent Kegon Buddhist priest Myoe syonin of the Kegon school’s Kankiji Temple who was born in Aridagawa Town (former Kanaya-machi). Besides the array of local produce available at the Kanaya Farm Stand, they sell processed products that make perfect souvenirs like Kinzanji-miso, handmade soy sauce, and dressing. Fresh baked bread from the Furusato Bakery is made with natural yeast and pure water from the Arida River. The bread is delicious the next day, too.

In addition to offering rental baths, there is a restaurant with seafood dishes such as longtooth grouper.
