This multipurpose hall is located in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture. Able to accommodate up to 8,500 people, it is used for a variety of sports and recreation events, concerts, exhibitions, and more. The building is modeled after a whale and can even shoot a jet of water into the air just like a whale. Appropriate to a prefecture known for its large quantities of wood, the ceiling, seat backboards, floor, and other fixtures make use of an abundance of wood. The facility also hosts a variety of classes and serves as a space for local residents to relax and improve their health through activities such as children's ballet, basketball, and tennis.

    ミスチルのコンサートで訪れました。 他にも、有名な歌手やアーティストのコンサートも時々開催されています。 中はとても広かったです。

The setting for many a Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail, Wakayama invites those in search of spirituality from one side of the prefecture to the other, from the 100-plus Buddhist temples of the sacred Mount Koya in the west to the inspiring temples of the Kumano Sanzan set among breathtaking nature in the east. Once the grueling hike is complete, make a beeline for Wakayama city to savor some of the country’s most delicious ramen noodles.
