    Wakayama Higashimuro-gun Kushimotocho
A hot spring area where you can bathe while taking in the beauty of the vast Kumano Sea and the mountains of Nachi. The qualities of the area’s springs differ from hot spring hotel to hot spring hotel but are primarily simple sulfur springs and chloride springs. Many have outdoor baths with ocean views, enabling you to relax and soak away your fatigue while listening to crashing waves. There are also an abundance of establishments serving tasty seafood from Katsuura Fishing Port and other delights, including whale. The area is famous for the Boki-do Cave bath operated by Hotel Urashima; note, however, that due to construction to enhance the cave’s ability to withstand earthquakes, this bath is not open to non-guests from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020.
