Customers can enjoy the well thought out menus and the specialty dish called kinchaku kitsune, a dish with a large boiled fried-tofu pouch filled with udon noodles in broth. The set menu of kinchaku kitsune with tempura in a box called tenju is also a popular dish at this restaurant.

    Gen is a soba noodle restaurant located in Fukuchiin Town, Nara City. At lunchtime you can try their fragrant Juwari-soba (100% buckwheat flour), although they only make 40 bowls of this soul satisfying soba each day. You’ll need to book a table for the evening and it’s only available for just two groups. A course of soba noodles is served for guests lucky enough to get a table. This Michelin starred restaurant is particularly well known.

    平日予約せず行ってみたところ、大半が予約しているようで、偶然にも空いていたのですぐに入れた。 田舎蕎麦は香りが良く、そのままでも、塩でも美味しく、空腹なら2枚は食べられそう。

    Yamatoan is a soba restaurant located in Yoshinoyama, Yoshino Town. The restaurant offers handmade soba noodles made with the fresh waters from Mt. Yoshino and buckwheat from Yatsugatake Mountains, Shinshu (Nagano Prefecture). As well as their ‘nio soba’ with fried mochi and grated radish served on a flat bamboo sieve or in a bowl, they also do soba course meals in the evening (booking required three days in advance).

    The restaurant was located on the only main road in Yoshino. It served only Soba (buckwheat) noodle and vegetable Tempura (battered and deep-fried). Its taste was very local and authentic. It was...

    This is a soba buckwheat noodle restaurant in Katsuragi no Michi History and Culture Museum located in Kamogami. Gose City. The soba flour used is grown organically by a famer in Hokkaido and ground in a millstone, without changing the original flavor of the buckwheat.

    高鴨神社の横にあり、朱塗りの柵と御池と森を眺めて食事ができます。こちらの鴨神そば一本挽きとは、昔ながらの石臼で製粉した玄蕎麦の一本挽きのことです。そば殻のついたままの蕎麦の実で、一本挽きとは挽きぐるみのことです。鴨汁蕎麦は香りの高いそばでした。

    This soba noodle restaurant is located in Roadside Station Totsukawago in the almost exact center of Totsukawa Village. The restaurant takes great pride in its fresh-cooked soba noodles made with fresh-ground flour. The Nameko Oroshi Soba, topped with plenty of spicy grated daikon and nameko mushrooms from Totsukawa, is particularly recommended. On weekdays, the set meal which comes with the Gyozen Omakase (Chef's Choice) Mini-don rice bowl and either soba or udon noodles is also popular.

    ここの丸亀製麺は、午後8時30分ごろには注文を終了するので、午後8時ごろに行った際は天ぷらの種類や量はかなり少なかったです。 天ぷらの棚は2段ある所が1段になっていました。 アツアツのものを食べたかったり、種類を選びたいなら、午後8時以前に寄るのがベストですね。

    全国チェーンの讃岐うどん屋さんです。店内の機械で打ちたてのおうどんを比較的安価で提供してくれるので、外食するときは助かってます。先日は、鴨すき焼きうどんを注文しましたが、鴨肉&ネギと濃い目の出汁に卵が加わり、とても美味しかったです。

    チェーンのうどん店。 味も値段も他の店舗と同じですが、ゆで具合は絶妙。コシを活かしつつ、しっかりとゆでられている点がよかった。 お好みでネギ、天かす、ワサビなどをとれるのは他と同じですが、やっぱり安心してお安く食べられるのはいい。

    全国で見かける丸亀製麺です。イオンモールの2階にあるフードコートにあります。しっかりしたうどん出汁に適度にコシがあるうどんの組み合わせがよいです。「カレーうどん(並)」490円をランチにしました。サラッとした感じのカレーは、スパイスが適度に効いて食べていると身体が温まってきます。寒いに日にはよい食べ物です。ネギを少し入れて、天かすを多い目に入れてみました。なかなか美味しくいただけました。

    色々な場所に出店している丸亀製麺、こちらでも美味しいうどんをすぐに食べることが出来ます。ただ、こちらはアピタ西大和というショッピングモールのフードコート内にあるため、どうしてもガヤガヤとしていて落ち着いては食べられないです。それでも安くて美味しいので食べてしまうのですが。

With a reputation almost as stellar as that of Kyoto, Nara is a must-visit for those searching for the remains of "traditional Japan." The largely green Nara city holds the majority of the prefecture’s treasures, such as the iconic Todai-ji Temple, in which a 15-meter tall Great Buddha sits, and Nara Park, where deer flock to befriend passersby.
