    "A Western confectionary shop located a 10-minute drive from JR Shin-Sanda Station on the Fukuchiyama Line. The shop's most popular item is the ""Koyama Roll,"" a roll cake which was created during the grand champion tournament on TV Tokyo's ""TV Champion."" Created based on the idea that ""simple is best,"" the cake consists of rich whipped cream mixed with a touch of custard and wrapped in a carefully air-fluffed sponge cake. This tasty treat is further accented with a mildly sweet chestnut compote. The shop also offers other select Western-style sweets lovingly crafted by the shop's chef such as baumkuchen."

    This Japanese-style confectionery is about eight minutes on foot from JR Fukuchiyama Line's Kaibara Station. The renovated thatched roof shop is housed in the former residence of an Oda clan vassal that was built over 150 years ago. Their cafe offers cake, pastries, and meals featuring local Tamba ingredients, and has a prominent wood-fired oven. The popular lunch set comes with a juicy roasted meat dish, and a roti or a pizza of your choice. Their Tamba Satoyama Pudding made with locally produced eggs and milk comes recommended.

    食べたかったかやぶきを食べることが出来ました。甘すぎず、本物の丹波栗を味わえます。 土曜に行ったのですが、カフェは夕方に行くとほぼ入れないかと思います。確実にカフェに行くなら、早めに行って待たないとダメかと。

Dedicated to the concept of ""you are what you eat,"" the market sells a wide selection of vegetables, meats, and prepared foods, including Tamba soybeans, Sanda udo, Sanda beef, and Nameless Hot Pepper Sauce which goes well with Meats only obtainable in the Sanda area. Events are also regularly held here and during these times visitors will find an abundance of foods made with the ingredients sold at the market."

    This long-established bakery with an over 100-year history is located along Honmachi-dori Street in Uoya-machi, Tanba-Sasayama City. The black soybean bread made using specially-produced Tanba-Sasayama black soybeans, is a must-try. The slow-roasted beans and the dough, developed especially for the beans, create a bread that allows for full appreciation of the black soybeans.

    二階町通りに面した老舗のパン屋さん。篠山城跡を見学した後に黒豆パンを買いに訪問。店内の正面棚に袋詰めされた黒豆パンが、左側にはイートイン…？テーブルと椅子が。黒豆パン3個の袋詰めを購入。特急電車の中でも食す、フンワリとした丸パンに黒豆が一杯、ほのかに甘く大変美味しゅうございました。

    Established in 1892, this Japanese confectionery shop is thoroughly dedicated to all things Tamba, making use of a variety of the area's famous ingredients, like chestnuts, Tambaguro black soybeans and dainagon adzuki beans. The store sells sweets such as boxes of Mont Blanc filled to the brim with rich Tamba chestnut paste, Tanshin Baumkuchen cakes made with Koshihikari rice flour, Tanba choux and chestnut dorayaki. In the cafe space, you will also find a special menu filled with items that can only be tasted here.

Designed around the concept of children's desire to look and ask, and adults desire to learn more, only children of elementary school grade six age and younger may enter. A variety of sweets and confections are sold in the shop, and the establishment has been featured in ABC Asahi's ""Cast"" and SONY's ""MY VAIO"" web magazine. The shop was also awarded the Kids Design Council Chairperson Award in the 10th Kids Design Awards."

    A confection-themed tourism facility located five minutes drive from the Tannan Sasayamaguchi interchange on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway. Unique, Tamba-style sweets, such as the popular, Japanese-style black soybean and matcha roll cakes, are sold here and no place else. At the cafe operating out of the renovated former Kobe City Waterfall Station, which was moved to this location, visitors can enjoy seasonal cakes and a cup of tea alongside a view of forest and lake. The German building offers fresh, oven baked pizzas, German beer, and sausages. Visitors can also visit a mountain villa moved to the facility which once belonged to a wealthy merchant, as well as an old-fashioned Japanese-style thatched roof home.

    この時期、毎年ボタン鍋を食べるついでに立ち寄ります。今年はコロナの為か、本館の食事処と、裏のドイツ館は休業中です。昔みたいな賑わいは無いですが、土産物は豊富に揃つてます。

    This boar meat store is a 15-minute walk from Sasayama Castle. Since it opened in 1949, the store has performed everything, from stocking to dressing to sales, in-house. Alongside Mt. Amagi in Shizuoka Prefecture and Gujo-Hachiman in Gifu Prefecture, Tambasasyama is considered one of the three great hunting grounds of Japan. Tambasasyama is replete with rolling mountains, an abundance of mountain plants yielding nuts and berries, and a climate which experiences extreme temperature differentials, and the meat of the wild boar raised in this environment is renowned for its highly sweet flavor and perfect amount of fat. In addition to boar meat, the store also sells domestic bear hotpot sets, sliced domestic deer loin, and Banshu Hyakunichi chicken.

The shop sells kuri yokan chestnut jelly, kuri natto glazed chestnuts, monaka wafer cakes, and other confections made with chestnuts. The shop's Junguriyokan jelly is a beautiful amber color and is made with unsparing quantities of select domestic Japanese chestnuts; the shop's signature product, it fully leverages the innate flavors of the ingredients used. The elegant jelly is made with just domestic chestnuts, sugar, and a small amount of kanten algae gelatin. The shop's monaka wafer cakes, stuffed with a high quality domestic azuki bean and Japanese chestnut filling and embossed with an image of the Sasayama Castle ruins, make perfect souvenirs and gifts.

    父の知り合い(篠山在住)から頂きました。栗菓子を専門のお店で、創業から100年近く経つ老舗。頂いたのは、栗入りもなか5個、栗甘納豆、丹波栗羊羹、純栗羊羹。最中は皮がサックとしてるし、小豆餡も甘すぎないのがいい。栗納豆はほっくりしてて、栗の素材を生かした、美味しさになっている。丹波栗羊羹、純栗羊羹も、あっさりめで、素材を生かした、美味しさに仕上がっている。どれも美味しかったので、買いに行ってみたいで...

    This bakery is a three-minute walk from Sasayama City Hall. Facing Aoyama-dori Street, the bakery has a retro exterior; inside, the bakery makes breads using seasonal Tamba-Sasayama ingredients. The bakery's signature Tanba black soybean bread is particularly popular and each one contains over 30 Tanba black soybeans. It is said that the bakery invented soft, sweet Tanba black soybean bread. Offering simple, wholesome breads such as anpan bean paste bread made with Tanba chestnuts with the skin still on, and anpan made with Tanba tea and Tanba dainagon azuki beans, the shop's products are loved by everyone from children to adults.

    父の知り合いが黒豆パンなら、小西よりここが古いし元祖だと、教えてくださり行きました。美味しそうなパンが並んでいて、元祖の丹波黒豆パン、丹波栗あんぱん、オレンジのせのロング、栗パイ、レーズンパンを…。あっさりしたパンで、美味しかったです。

    This farmers' market adjoins Konda Yakushi Onsen Nukumorinosato, a hot spring bathhouse with free-flowing spring water baths. The market sells safe, healthy vegetables, black soybeans, and Koshihikari rice provided by local Eco-Farmer-certified farmers. When in season, the market also sells wild boar meat, handmade miso, and maki sushi, and customers can come here and purchase fresh, locally-grown vegetables before or after enjoying hot spring bathing. An adjoining Tamba ware area displays and sells a tri-monthly changing selection of pieces by 13 pottery studios at any given time out of a total of more than 60.

The moist dough baked with Hokkaido flour and honey is a perfect match for the stewed black beans and pure cream, and the smooth, rich-tasting baked cheesecake baked at a low temperature is a popular souvenir.

    丹波篠山で美味しいと聞いた洋菓子店。 箱入りの濃厚チーズケーキと丹波篠山の黒豆の入ったケーキを持ち帰りしました。 濃厚チーズケーキはその名の通り。 両方ともなかなか美味しかったです。 イートインスペースが欲しいくらいでした。

Operating out of an elegant building, the shop sells kuri manju chestnut buns, ohagi bean jam coated rice cakes, kuri kinton mashed sweet potatoes and candied chestnuts, and more. The shop's particularly popular kuri kinton, only available in autumn, is made with just Tamba chestnuts and sugar, giving it a simple flavor. Customers rave that the carefully strained chestnut paste has a delightful, fluffy texture. The shop's kuri ohagi consists of azuki bean mochi wrapped in kuri kinton and delights with the delicate, innate flavor of the chestnuts harmonizing with the azuki bean mochi. Customers can also enjoy seasonal confections along with a cup of matcha green tea inside an establishment engendering an air of history.

    篠山は栗や黒豆、猪肉が特産物で有名な町。9月は栗菓子が各お店に並ぶ。このお店で買いたかった、くりきんとんとくりおはぎ、各5個づつ買いました。大きさは、1口サイズの小ぶり。どちらも栗そのものの味で勝負したほんとの美味しい和菓子。午前中には、売り切れることもある人気商品です。栗好きにはたまりません。また行ったらリピ買いしたいです。
