Hyougo Pref. Koubeshi Nada-ku Rokkousanchou Gokaiyama Inside 1877-9 Rokko Garden Terrace
"A cafe located in Rokko Garden Terrace overlooking downtown Osaka. Here customers can relax and enjoy a cup of tea along with a spectacular view stretching from the Akashi Strait to the Osaka Plain. In addition to an indoor seating area outfitted with large windows, there's also an open and airy outdoor terrace. The menu includes many unique and distinctive choices, including tiramisu made with Tanbaguro black soybeans, a ""fruit gratin"" made with five different fruits, and beef stew made with Japanese beef from Kakogawa."

The view looks over Kobe. On this January afternoon, you can see Kobe airport, Ashiya city, and Nishinomiya City with vague outlines of Osaka in the distance. Just beautiful. Full kudos for the...

A cafe located in the Tenran Observatory right next to Rokko Sanjo Station on the cable car line which leads up Mt. Rokko. Situated 737 meters above sea level, the cafe's biggest draw is its sweeping view, which encompasses not just downtown Kobe but also stretches all the way to the Osaka Plain and Wakayama. In the evening, customers can enjoy the brilliant, sprawling urban nightscape, a sight which has even been selected for inclusion in a list of the Japan's new top 3 cities for night views. Recommended menu selections include the tasty Mt. Rokko curry and Mt. Rokko honey lemon soda. The cafe also serves a variety of items crafted with seasonal ingredients.

Tea room mahisa, which opened in 1987, has consistently given patrons the opportunity to enjoy first-class tea made by adding plenty of milk to strong black tea. Being able to get the full, rough-edged flavor of the tea is the reason why Tea room mahisa has remained so popular. Tea room mahisa is located around four minutes’ walk from JR Settsumotoyama Station and from Hankyu Railway Okamoto Station.

    阪急岡本駅から南に下り徒歩5分ほどで着きます。ティーセットで美味しい紅茶とスコーンを頂きました。店内も落ち着いた雰囲気です。

The cafe was developed with the idea of showcasing both Western and traditional Japanese sweets. With eye catching stained-glass windows, they serve items like authentic handmade Japanese sweets, Chinese tea, and Hong Kong-style hot pots. It's like a secret hideaway reminiscent of old-school Hong Kong. Popular lunchtime fare includes their healthy meal set that comes with veggie soup, a seasonal side dish, and Chinese tea. Their array of seasonal sweets includes matcha and tofu chiffon cake, baked strawberry tarts, and traditional anmitsu desserts with everything from the agar gelatin to the brown sugar syrup made by hand.

This cafe is the flagship location of Mikage Danke, the cafe that created butter blend coffee. This unique style of coffee is made with beans that have been permeated with butter immediately after roasting. The cafe, which is located just next to the south exit of Mikage Station, serves fragrant blended coffee, Viennese coffee, coffee floats, and more. The delicious butter blend coffee for which the cafe is best known boasts a well-rounded richness and a gentle fragrance. Their whipped cream-topped coffee jellies, which practically glide down the throat, are a great treat to enjoy while exploring Mikage.

This cafe is located across from the Rokko Yahata Shrine. The cozy cafe, notable for its chalk-white exterior walls, sells carefully home-roasted coffee. The simple interior, which is colored in shades of off-white, has a relaxing atmosphere. The cafe's refreshingly well-balanced Rokko Blend Karume is a medium roast coffee that is best enjoyed while reading a good book. Their coffee beans are also available for purchase in 100-gram packages, which many customers buy for use at home. Also popular are the cafe's homemade cakes, such as their mixed fruit pound cake, chocolate cake, and cheesecake.

Hyogo Areas

around-area-map

Hyogo prefecture stretches from the north coast to the south coast on the western end of the popular Kansai region, encompassing verdant mountains, urban beaches, and fantastic historical sights. The prefecture’s main attractions lie along the south coast at Kobe, the prefectural capital, a pretty harbor city best known for its production of the renowned Kobe beef, and Himeji, the home of Himeji Castle, one of the country’s most beautifully preserved feudal castles, perched magically atop a hill.
