This baseball stadium is in Koshien Town, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture and is the headquarters of the professional baseball team the “Hanshin Tigers.” It is also used as the site for the two major national high school baseball competitions, the “Japanese High School Baseball Championship” held in summer and the “Japanese High School Baseball Invitational Tournament” held in spring. While it features single-layer type stands, it has the largest capacity of any baseball stadium in Japan. The “Koshien Museum,” which introduces the history of the stadium and the Tigers as well as high school baseball, is a popular attraction, as are the stadium tours. There's plenty of original food as well, and the jumbo grilled chicken skewers, Koshien curry, and Koshien fried soba are famous.

If you have never been to a Japanese baseball game you are missing a great time and this stadium adds to the event. The home team has cheerleaders and plays music for every hitter. The stadium is...

Located inside the commercial facility “LaLaport KOSHIEN” in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, this place offers various artisanal experiences for children. There are several pavilions sponsored by actual businesses in the facility, including veterinarians, manga artists, firefighters, fashion models, and approximately 100 jobs and services in total to choose from. "A park located right next to the ""Itami Sky Park Kamisuko"" bus stop and a 10-minute drive from the Toyonaka-kita exit on the Hanshin Expressway Ikeda Route. Inside the park's central building, there are exhibits on area ruins dating back to the distant Yayoi period (B.C.300-250) as well as an actual air traffic control radar system. The park is planted with trees from the prefectures reachable from the nearby Osaka International Airport and from the Sky Terrace visitors can watch planes taking off and landing with their own eyes or using provided monitors. In the spring, a hill in the park blooms with some 14 thousand azalea plants, and, at night, another hill sparkles with LED's arranged in the shape of constellations."

We brought our kids there and there was a nice playground for them, plus a good view of incoming and outgoing airplanes. Perhaps a food vendor or two would make it even more complete, especially on...

This Buddhist temple is in Nakayamadera Temple, Takarazuka City. Built by Shotoku Taishi, it's regarded as Japan's first sanctuary dedicated to the Bodhisattva Kannon, a goddess of mercy. It's the 24th temple of 33 on the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage. The principal object of worship is an image of an 11-headed Kanzeon Bodhisattva that is thought to aid women in particular. As worshiping there fulfilled Toyotomi Hideyoshi's prayers for a child, the temple attracts people seeking fertility and safe childbirth.

Easy access with escalators in most areas - which is a huge plus when travelling with elders. Gods here are famous for granting new babies. You could see the Takarazuka-Kansai plateau which is...

"A museum which celebrates the achievements of noted manga artist Osamu Tezuka. The museum's entrance is modeled after a palace appearing in ""Princess Knight,"" and a life-sized figure dolls of Astro Boy welcomes visitors. The museum has a theater showing original movies and a standing exhibition room designed to look like a pod from the future. There's also a library with a full featured search system. There's an animation studio on the first floor where visitors can learn how animated works are made. The museum cafe is modeled after ""Kimba, the White Lion."" Note: The museum is temporarily closed for renovations from December 25, 2018 to March 31, 2019."

This place was pretty cool, with plenty of historical information and time capsules. I felt strangely like I was suddenly thrust into an episode of Dr Who for some reason.

"This Buddhist temple in Maitani Kiyoshi, Takarazuka City was founded in 896. It was bestowed with the title of ""Japan's First Kiyoshikojin"" by Emperor Uda. Mixing Buddhist and native Shinto elements, it's primary god Kojin is known as a deity of fire, the hearth, and the kitchen. People in their unlucky years keep hibashi fire tongs thought to be blessed by Kojin as talismans during the period, and later dedicate them to the deity at the temple's Hibashi-Nojo Hall. The precincts also feature the Tessai Museum, which displays the work of the calligrapher Tessai Tomioka."
