    A small museum dedicated to Gigantor and Sangokushi at the southernmost part of Taisho-suji Shopping Street. Look for the stone statue of Sun Quan located near the intersection with Rokkenmichi Shopping Street. The museum displays the late Mitsuteru Yokoyama's work and items related to it. Shin-Nagata is the hometown of this manga artist who is famous for Gigantor, the Three Kingdoms, and other comics. Panels highlighting his work, a Gigantor monument, and stone statues of the Three Kingdoms are set up throughout the town. There are also life-size figures from the series such as Zhuge Liang, fun interactive displays related to the manga including the Green Dragon Crescent Blade wielded by Guan Yu, and screenings of the original cartoons, drawing lots of tourists from Japan and around the world every day.

    "This gallery and shop is 150 meters north of Tambasasyama City Hall. Operating out of a renovated old Japanese home built in the early Showa period, the establishment displays traditional crafts from across Japan and special collaboration items produced by world-famous product designer Toshiyuki Kita. The gallery's pieces born of collaborations with craftspeople supporting such traditional industries as Tamba ware and Arita ware pottery studios are simple yet light and easy to use, and customers rave they blend in perfectly as part of everyday life. In the adjoining ""Joan"" cafe, you can enjoy delicious coffee served in cups produced by Toshiyuki Kita."

    This modern art gallery is located near the East Coast Line on Awaji Island. Operating out of the remodeled residence of modern artist Kazuaki Maekawa, the gallery has a simple and fairy tale-esque atmosphere. The spacious gallery building was originally a cow shed and has been remodeled with stained glass windows. Displaying strange characters combining animal and human traits, and idiosyncratic pieces created from common items, visitors rave that you'll feel like you've been drawn into a strange, fairy tale world. As the gallery is located on the grounds of the artist's private residence, prospective visitors are recommended to make contact in advance.

    元町商店街のほぼ西端、1階が薬局のビルの西面に2階への入り口がある。鉄扉を前にすると入るのを躊躇するかもしれないが、画廊のスタッフが笑顔で迎えてくれる。古色の趣のある階段室が画廊のスペースになっていて、スペース自体も興味深い。開かれている個展も個性的なものが多い。
