    This market is located in the corner of Izumisano fishing port, which looks out to Kansai International Airport. Fresh seafood is sold here on the very same day that it is caught. A special feature of the market is Hiruami fish caught in the afternoon, which are then put up for auction from around 2 p.m. Thanks to this afternoon auction, it is possible to see the auctions taking place without having to go to the market in the early hours of the morning. Also in the market are sushi bars and various restaurants with menus bursting with fresh seafood, and in the nearby barbeque (seafood grill) restaurants, you can cook your own ingredients bought at the market.

    This long-established Japanese-style confectionary store, located in Sakai, was founded in 1329, in the late Kamakura period. Their specialty walnut mochi's name is derived from green soybean paste wrapped in mochi. The exquisite balance of the product's softness and the bean paste's smoothness is something people never tire of, according to its reputation. Their take-out menu is so popular that there is always a line extending out of the store. Additionally, seated within the eat-in space inside the store, customers can also enjoy shaved-ice walnut mochi, as well as the store's regular walnut mochi.

    The dessert here are ok... not as refined as in Kyoto. Service is lacking. Can skip if you have no time to wait in the queue.

    "This longstanding Japanese confectionary shop established in 1854 is situated on Prefectural Route 204 in Nishi-cho, Kaizuka City. The shop's Murasame, a famous Senshu region bar-shaped confection created by steaming a batter made from sweet azuki beans, rice flour, and sugar, was inspired by ""Kaiura Murasame"" (""Passing Shower Over Kaiura""), one of the Eight Views of Senshu. It is still made according to the same recipe handed down from the time the shop first opened its doors. The shop also sells Murasame Manju buns consisting of tsubuan chunky bean paste wrapped in the same batter used to make regular Murasame bars; as well as monaka wafer cakes, castella, seasonal namagashi fresh Japanese confections, and more."
