    This is the factory of Asahi Breweries, Ltd. which manufactures such as “Asahi Super Dry”. They run factory tours with tickets having to be reserved in advance, and the tour goes through a video, panel exhibition and the production line, and you can learn free of charge about the history and manufacturing processes of Asahi Beer’s. After finishing the tour, you can also sample freshly brewed beers. The exhibition containing roughly 3,700 types of beer can collected from around the world is also a must see. The nearest station is Suita Station.

    This is a Japanese garden within the “Expo’70 Commemorative Park” in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture. It is a famous Japanese garden of the Showa period built as a government exhibition facility at the “Japan World Exposition” held in 1970. In the long and narrow area approximately 260,000 square meters from west to east, a flow of water from the west to the east has been created, expressing the transition of time. There are four gardens representing from the Heian period to medieval times, early-modern times and modern themes, enabling you to enjoy the scenery of the style from each era at once. Seasonal flowers such as peony and cherry blossoms, azaleas and crape myrtle are also beautiful, and about 10,000 irises are in flower from early to mid-June.

    A gorge along the upper stream of the Akuta River flowing through Takatsuki City, it was designated as one of Osaka Prefecture's Places of Scenic Beauty in 1938. Stretching for approx. four kilometers, there are coupled rocks, eight tatami mat-sized stone outcroppings, cliffs and waterfalls, and it is said to be the most picturesque place in the Hokusetsu region. It was also chosen as one of the Kansai region's top 100 scenic spots, and one of Osaka's top 100 green landscapes. Known as a famous spot for viewing cherry blossoms and the changing autumn leaves, the Settsukyo Gorge Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year in early April in Settsukyo Gorge Cherry Blossom Park, where 3,000 cherry blossom trees are planted. In addition, with a hiking course that allows you to enjoy the natural landscape throughout the four seasons, it is a gathering spot for those who like the outdoors.

    This rockfill dam was constructed in 1982 for flood control. The large prefectural dam managed by Osaka Prefecture is 47-meter-high and 222.5 meters in crest length. The area around the dam was designated as the Meiji no Mori Mino Quasi-National Park, and it has a promenade that has become a place of relaxation for residents of the prefecture. Because the Mino Valley is downstream, there are also people who come to see fresh greenery and autumn leaves and also for hikes. Above all, the area bustles with the many people who gather in the holiday seasons.

    A facility where you can pick shiitake mushrooms located inside the Takatsuki Forest Center situated along Prefectural Route 6 in Matodani Tano, Takatsuki City. The facility grows its mushrooms on unprocessed logs without the use of agricultural chemicals or chemical fertilizers, and visitors can enjoy picking shiitake mushrooms here year round without a reservation and without having to pay any entry fee (customers purchase the mushrooms they have picked based on weight). You can also enjoy the mushrooms you have just picked in the adjoining barbecue restaurant.

    This bridge is located in Tsukawaki, Takatsuki City, the entrance to Settsukyo Gorge. It is approx. a five-minute walk from the Tsukawaki/Nishinokawara Bridge bus stop. The mountain side from this bridge is one of Osaka Prefecture's scenic spots, Settsukyo Gorge. You can see Japanese bush warblers and other wild birds from the bridge, so many photographers visit with their cameras. Magnificent cherry blossom trees bloom along the river in the spring, and even fireflies make an appearance in the early summer. Fireflies were designated a protected animal by Takatsuki City.

    This park on Mt. Satsuki approx. a 10-minute walk from Hanyu Ikeda Station. Located in the center of the city, it is famous as the Hokusetsu region's leading spot for cherry trees, azaleas and autumn leaves, and was chosen as one of Osaka's top 100 green landscapes. There are hiking courses and observatories, and also Hirado azaleas, Mochi azaleas and Kobanomitsuba azaleas, making it a place where many people come to see flowers in all seasons. A cherry blossom festival is held here in early April. In addition, you can see from Mt. Satsuki's Shubodai wonderful night views and even the lit up Big Harp, a bridge that spans the Inagawa River.

    This kofun keyhole-shaped burial mound is located in 3-Chome Oda, Ibaraki City. The massive tumulus is 226 meters long and is believed to have been constructed in the fifth century. The tomb is managed by the Imperial Household Agency as that of Emperor Keitai, Japan's 26th emperor, but there are also those who say the tomb of Emperor Keitai is actually Imashirozuka Ancient Tomb in Takatsuki City.

    This sake brewery is located in 3-Chome Tonda-cho, Takatsuki City. A longstanding company established in 1822, the brewery makes Kuninocho seishu refined sake. The company also makes Kuninocho kasudori-shochu made from the brewery's sake lees; Tondazuke local melon pickled with sake lees; and Kuninocho Beer, Osaka's first local microbrew. In addition, the brewery holds brewery tours twice a year.

    This cathedral is located on the grounds of Takatsuki Catholic Church in Nomi-cho, Takatsuki City. The cathedral bears the name of Takayama Ukon, a famous Christian daimyo and the lord of Takatsuki Castle. The church is modeled after the cathedral in Manila where Takayama ended his days after being exiled from Japan due to the prohibition against Christianity; a statue depicting Takayama in prayer stands outside the cathedral.

The road is open to traffic from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The road is closed during events such as the local cherry blossom festival and fireworks festival.
