    This is a cafe focusing mainly on sweets on the second floor of the Umeda Rakutenchi Building. The poppy, cute shop interior hosts an all-you-can-eat menu of about 30 different sweets (including some seasonal varieties). The shop's most popular item, Fluffy Shortcake, uses 17.7% fat cream from Hokkaido in their whipped cream in an exquisite pairing with strawberries. Apart from cakes, they also serve pasta, salads, snacks and drinks for a fully stocked menu. Take as much as you like of whatever you like!

With a focus on healthy mind and body their food is crafted from carefully selected brown rice and natural ingredients. In addition to their daily changing lunch and dinner options they offer limited monthly and seasonal specials as well as special memorial meals. Their stewed curry made with seasonal vegetables is very popular.

    This place is very sweet. The waitress was kind and the food was very good and well priced. I got a vegetarian platter of fried bean curd and wheat, which was delicious.

The specialty store of Nara Toyosawa Sake Brewery, they offer savory daiginjo Hoshuku super premium sake, Mushohai and Kisenju Kiccho ginjo pure rice premium sake with great aromas and the taste of rice. They also have fruit sake with plum wine and yuzu wine using these sakes as a base, and you can enjoy them together with seafood dishes such as fresh seasonal sashimi, simmered fish head, and green tea pour over thoroughly simmered sea bream. During lunchtime, they also have tempura rice bowls and seafood rice bowls.

The entrance of the covered street is decorated with a giant female doll face. Diners can enjoy authentic Itamae Sushi (“Chef’s Sushi”) made using fresh fish and seafood purchased at the Osaka Central Fish Market that same morning. Besides nigiri (hand-rolled sushi), Maruman Sushi also offers otsukuri (sashimi arrangements) and tecchiri (boiled Fugu pufferfish); the restaurant can cater for a wide range of different types of banquets and get-togethers. On weekdays, the restaurant has a very reasonably-priced lunch-of-the-day, although only a limited number of servings are available, so it is advisable to arrive early. Maruman sushi is located around three minutes’ walk from JR Tenma Station and from Ogimachi Station on the Sakaisuji Subway Line, and around five minutes’ walk from Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome Station on the Tanimachi Subway Line.

    This is a long-established udon (wheat noodle) restaurant that originally opened in the “Kuromon Market”, known as the kitchen of Osaka, currently operating in Kitashinchi, the downtown area of ​​Kita. The noodles used are as thin as toothpicks yet firm, and go perfectly with the strongly flavored and aromatic bonito soup stock. The most popular dish on the menu is “Kakiage Tempura Udon” (mixed vegetable tempura on noodle) which is only offered for dinner. The clear taste of the “Ume konbu udon” (plum and kelp noodle) is popular among female customers. The elegant Japanese style interior has an atmosphere that makes it easy for even women to enter alone. The nearest station is Kitashinchi Station.

    This shop specializing in taiyaki pastries is found in the Tenjinbashi Suji Shopping Arcade. The shop was opened in Osaka as a spin off of the famous Azabujuban Naniwaya store in Tokyo, which was the model for the Japanese childrens' song Oyoge! Taikiyaki-kun. The taiyaki are made individually instead of in large batches, which is called Tennen-mono. Home-made anko (sweet red bean paste), takes eight hours to make, is made fresh every day, and is available for purchase by weight. During the summer a special shaved ice menu is offered using this homemade anko.
