    One of the oldest “yoshoku” Japanese-style Western restaurants in Osaka, founded in 1910, famous for its curry rice. The shop’s renowned curry is served mixed with rice and topped with a raw egg, an idea born out of a desire to serve piping hot curry in a time when no commercial warming or reheating devices were available. The only toppings (other than the raw egg) are onions and beef. The shop’s “light” dashi stock gives the curry a unique flavor, and adding some sauce provided at each table further enhances the deliciousness. The closest station is Namba Station.

    This is a curry shop managed by the old beef specialist “Hariju” established in 1919. It is located in a historical building constructed in 1948 which is also a landmark in Osaka’s Minami area, and the shop offers high-quality Japanese beef in curry rice, beef cutlet, and hayashi (hashed beef) rice. Their famous specialty is “Beef Wan” which is a beef bowl topped with egg. The interior is Western-style with a relaxed informal feel that welcomes customers. The nearest station is Namba Station.

    This is a specialist curry shop located on the Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street beside Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome Station on the Tanimachi Subway Line. There is only a counter seats in the store but this is also a popular restaurant among many celebrities and there can be queues to enter. The menu consists of four kinds of curry such as the healthy “curry” which is made with an original bouillon with excess fats removed as well as plenty of pot herb and fruits and the “Thickly Cut Wagyu Beef Curry” which is a thick and creamy European style curry containing chunks of tender Wagyu beef. You can taste seasonal curries with the “limited menu” which is also popular and is changed every two weeks.

    Went at 6pm on a Friday night. It’s a small place with seating around a bar. Price is good and curry is yummy. They have a menu in English as well.

    A curry restaurant in the Barchika restaurant area on the basement floor of Lucua, a commercial building directly connected to Osaka Station. The restaurant has a retro train car feel to it, adorned with circular windows and decorated with luggage. Their signature dish is keema curry made with minced beef, pork, chicken, mutton or duck along with seasonal vegetables. There is a new menu every month. Try their deep flavored Aikake Curry, Triple Curry, and Curry with Everything.

This popular curry restaurant in the underground shopping area CRYSTA Nagahori has not changed its flavor since it was founded in 1947. The recipe for this Indian curry was passed down by the founder's mother who was taught authentic curry by people from India. The established chefs serve Indian curry with a great balance of sweet and spice and use carefully selected ingredients. You can also order spaghetti and pilaf.

    This is a quick place for a very affordable curry menu. Small cosy place which serves Indian curry. It is spicy and tasty.
