    A park located in Kurodoricho, Izumi City. Facilities include a large playground, water play deck, and observatory. A renowned destination for cherry blossom viewing, in spring, the park's roughly 700 cherry trees come into bloom and the park holds a cherry blossom festival. The cherry trees are also lit up at night, and during this time the park bustles with visitors come to enjoy the blossoms.

    This park and sports center is only a two-minute walk east of the Shirasagi-koenmae bus stop. The park has a play area where small children can play all day. It also has the largest number of Yoshino cherry blossom and is well known as a great cherry blossom viewing location. When the blossoms bloom in spring you can see crowds of people enjoying picnics under the trees. There is also a public sports center where anyone can enjoy baseball, soccer, or gateball (a Japanese game similar to croquet).

    This park and gymnasium is a three-minute walk from the Ryoi-bashi bus stop on the Yao south-bound bus from Yao Station. Relax all day at this spacious park with exercise equipment, a gymnasium, and playground for children. It normally functions as a location for local relaxation, spots promotion, citizen exchange, and disaster prevention education. In the event of a disaster it acts as a temporary evacuation center for neighboring residences, combining evacuation site, disaster prevention and park all in one. Fire and disaster prevention exhibitions are frequently held using the park's facilities.

    This municipal park is located five minutes' walk from the Hankyu Takarazuka Line's Sone Station. The park has playground equipment, a baseball stadium and tennis courts, a rose garden and an illuminated fountain. It is a popular spot for locals to come to take the weight off their feet. The baseball stadium was named Rose Stadium, after the rose which symbolizes Toyonaka City. The stadium is used not only for high school and amateur games, but is also a venue for second league professional games. There is also a performing arts center nearby, and the park is the center of Toyonaka City's cultural sports.

    An urban park located northwest of Tsuruhashi Station along Tamatsukuri-suji Street. The area around the park is also known as the old battlefield where Sanada (Yukimura) Nobushige played an active role in Osaka Fuyu-no-Jin (the Winter Siege of Osaka) in 1614. In the northern part of the park, the Tennoji Sports Center, a baseball stadium, and an outdoor swimming pool for summer use have been constructed. In particular, the sports center is equipped with an indoor swimming pool and indoor sports facilities, making it a place where sports can be enjoyed all year round. The park is also equipped with greenery walking paths and playground equipment, bustled with many residents including children on holidays.
  • Settsukyo Park

    This scenic park covers 42.58 hectares, extending upstream of the Akutagawa River, in the northern part of Takatsuki City. It is famous for its cherry blossoms and Autumn leaves, and the entire park is a place of great natural beauty. To the south of the park is the Sakura Garden, where around 230 cherry trees have been planted. The Sakura Festival is held here every spring, and it is always bustling with people who have come for the flower-viewing. There is also a hiking course along the Akutagawa River, which is used for orienteering exercises, and hikers can walk here while enjoying the different facets of nature during each of the four seasons.

    This park is located approximately one kilometer from the underground Midosuji Line's Shinkanaoka Station. This park has an athletics field that can also be used for soccer, a baseball field and a floodlit tennis court, in addition to a pool, gymnasium and other facilities. The park's facilities are set up so that anyone can freely use them, from competitive athletes, to people exercising to stay healthy or for prescribed exercise. There are three jogging courses in the park, with different layouts and lengths, so visitors can also enjoy either jogging or walking these courses.
  • Senri-kita Park

    This park was built as a buffer space in Senri New Town alongside Banpaku Memorial Park, in 1970. The park extends for four kilometers, snakelike, from 2 Chome Shinsenri Kitamachi to 2 Chome Higashi-Izumigaoka. Hotaria parvula, a near-threatened species of firefly in Osaka, lives here. The fireflies are said to only be able to survive in places where the natural balance of the eco-system is maintained. The entrance to the promenade where the fireflies can be seen is near the Yamadanishi Police Box (Yamadanishi 2 Chome). The best time to see them is from the middle of May to early June.

    This is the largest city park in the district within a ten-minute walk from Nakanoshima Station on the Keihan Nakanoshima Line. There is a playground and baseball field in the park, as well as an indoor and outdoor pool, and a 480-meter jogging course. There is also a row of ginkgo trees where visitors can enjoy the four seasons surrounded by nature. In addition, it is a famous site for the Noda Fuji (Japanese Wisteria) and is said that this type of wisteria originated in the area. Fuji-an garden, where Ashikaga Yoshiakira and Toyotomi Hideyoshi have also visited, has been restored in the park and it is a popular place for visitors in mid-April when the wisteria is in full bloom.
  • Satsukiyama Park

    This park on Mt. Satsuki approx. a 10-minute walk from Hanyu Ikeda Station. Located in the center of the city, it is famous as the Hokusetsu region's leading spot for cherry trees, azaleas and autumn leaves, and was chosen as one of Osaka's top 100 green landscapes. There are hiking courses and observatories, and also Hirado azaleas, Mochi azaleas and Kobanomitsuba azaleas, making it a place where many people come to see flowers in all seasons. A cherry blossom festival is held here in early April. In addition, you can see from Mt. Satsuki's Shubodai wonderful night views and even the lit up Big Harp, a bridge that spans the Inagawa River.

    This is an historical park reproducing a large settlement of the Yayoi period and is approximately a seven-minute walk from Shinodayama Station on the JR Hanwa Line. It is a large park with a total area of ??600,000 square meters. It includes a large-scale excavated pillar building of two thousand years ago, and restored remains of pit dwelling buildings as well as the Ikegami Sone Yayoi Information Center. In 1995, a large building and well was discovered in the middle of the park and the discovery altered the image of the Yayoi period. Now, the buildings are restored with Japanese cypress and the visitors can enjoy the fascinating history of the Yayoi period that has been maintained.
  • Osaka Fumin no Mori Kurondo Orchards

    This park is located in Kisabe, Katano City. Situated along a hiking course extending from Kisaichi Station in 3-Chome Kisaichiyamate, Katano City to Kurondo Pond in Takayama-cho, Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, the park is situated on the border between the two prefectures. There are several hiking courses on the park's vast grounds, and visitors can enjoy walking amidst seasonal natural scenery, including Asian skunk cabbage, cherry blossoms, and fall foliage. There's also a barbecue facility (advance reservation required) which can be used throughout the year.
  • Bird Sanctuary Portside Greenbelt (Osaka Nanko Bird Sanctuary)

    This bird sanctuary is located in 3-Chome Nankokita, Suminoe Ward, Osaka City. The sanctuary makes use of an artificial tidal flat and is visited by some 150 species of birds annually, including sandpipers and plovers. There is an observation tower from which visitors can use telescopes for birdwatching. The sanctuary also holds seasonal wild bird and tidal flat animal watching events. The scenery which can be viewed from this tower, including the tidal flat itself as well as the area's sunsets, is also beautiful.

    公園に着くまではずっと上り坂で疲れますが、公園からの景色はとてもきれいです。大阪平野の北の端から南側を望む格好になるので、箕面市や吹田市、豊中市、遠くには大阪市のビル群やあべのハルカスもかすかに見えます。日没は残念ながら見えませんが、周りも静かできれいな住宅街なので景色を見て落ち着くにはいいところです。

    とにかく広い公園。施設があちこちに点在していますが、それを除くとほとんどが原っぱなので、なにより開放感があります。休日にのんびりくつろぐにはよさそうですね。ただ日蔭の得られる場所が限られるので、夏の炎天下に歩き回るのはかなりつらいかも。

    整備がきちんとされた、府営のとても良い河川公園です。南河内では有名な石川沿いに作られた公園。大部分はサイクリングロードとウォーキングの道が分けて作られ、安心して散歩が出来ます。一部の場所を除いてこの公園内で火は使えませんが、残念な場面に出くわしました。バーベキューを行っている人や、バイクで大きなエンジン音を出している人が数名いてがっかりでした。折角良い公園なのに、運営をきちんとして欲しいです。
