    Osaka Osakashi Naniwa-ku Ebisuhigashi 3-5-19
    A smartball (pinball-like game) hall located in the Shinsekai area of Osaka City’s Naniwa Ward. The retro Showa-style hall is filled with old fashioned smartball machines lined up in rows, and entrants can play whichever machines they like. Put in some money and 25 balls will pop out. Hit the balls with the flippers into the holes marked with numbers and the same number of balls will pop out. Saved balls can be exchanged for prizes like snacks and stuffed animals.

Inside, visitors can select from among a renowned Taiwan mazesoba noodle shop, a French style bakery and café, and a steakhouse serving aged meat and Japanese kurogewagyu beef among other options. The place bustles constantly with people going to and from work or waiting for the Shinkansen come to enjoy a meal. There is also a convenience store, sweets shop, and Seijo Ishii grocery store, making it a convenient place to buy daily necessities and niceties as well.

    Dotonbori Konamon-Museum in downtown Dotonbori is a food theme park and a hands-on facility where you can experience the history and culture of konamon (flour) including takoyaki (octopus dumpling). On the first floor, Takoya dotonbori Kukuru, a well-known takoyaki restaurant which is famous with long queues, shows the cooking procedure and sells them. On the second floor, there is a historical museum about flour with an eating area. The third floor is a studio where you can make your own food samples for a unique takoyaki (a booking is required in advance). On the first basement, there is a takoyaki dojo (training area) where you fry your takoyaki with your own choice of ingredients. The closest station is Namba Station.

    This is the theater where the pop idol group produced by Mr. Yasushi Akimoto “NMB48” has their headquarters, which is located in the building opposite “Namba Grand Kagetsu” in Chuo Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. The theatre is used as a concert venue for NMB48 and its sister group AKB48, with a feature being the close proximity of the seating to the stage. There are photographs of all the members of the NMB48 group and name plates of members who have left the group posted on the walls of the passage leading into the theatre. It is necessary to apply in advance for tickets for public performances.

It is popular as a spot where parents and children can relax and play without worrying about the weather. There is also a shop selling Bornelund educational toys. It is filled with fashion stores, with about 50 stores in total from the basement floor to the sixth floor. There are many famous brands aimed at young women as well as select boutiques and popular cafes and restaurants. Add in a Tower Records, bookstore, ABC Mart, and other major stores, and it’s easy to see why this place is always brimming with customers.

There are plenty of spots where you can enjoy nature, such as the “Rose Garden” that blooms with over 2,300 roses in spring and fall, the “Fall Foliage Valley” boasts stunning leaf colors in the autumn, and a big lake with birds swimming in it. Complete with large grassy fields and plains, this is a great spot for a family picnic.
