    Kyoto Fukuchiyamashi Izaki 377-1
    Fukuchiyama City Zoo is the only zoo in Northern Kinki and Sanin. There is a large pond nearby, and it's known for letting you get close to the animals. Their Japanese macaques are a favorite, and you can see them in their natural social groups at the facility's Monkey Island.

    とっても小さな動物園、動物たちと触れあいやすく気軽にまた行きたいと思わせる雰囲気が良かった。大きな公園の中にあったので公園で遊んだりでき楽しい思い出が出来た。

    This castle of the old Fukuchiyama feudal domain in Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture is a fortress which belonged to a powerful clan was once known as Yokoyama Castle. It was reconstructed by Akechi Mitsuhide in 1579, who renamed it to Fukuchiyama Castle. Once completed there was a castle tower and various other buildings, but after the castle abandonment orders of the Meiji period many were demolished. Just the stone wall, copper gatehouse and the Toyoiwa-no-i Well remain their original Edo period appearance. The current castle tower was rebuilt in 1986, and the inside was opened as a museum.

    "A museum where you can learn about oni, mythical Japanese creatures similar to ogres and demons. The museum was built on the site of a copper mine in April 1993 as part of an urban revitalization project. The one story museum's exterior is designed to evoke the power of oni. Inside, the museum presents three oni legends connected to Mt. Oe and also has exhibits on traditional performing arts relating to oni as well as oni masks from around the country. The museum's collection of oni dolls and oni folding screen paintings reveal the various facets of Japanese oni, providing visitors with the opportunity to consider just what an ""oni"" is. The museum also has a library and video corner and offers coloring activities and picture story shows for children."

    酒呑童子つながりで日本と世界の鬼に関する伝承などを集めた博物館。秋田の男鹿にあるなまはげの民族間と同じ系統の展示で、世界の鬼の系譜やかぶりものなどが展示されている。そうした鬼の民族史や博物を見られるのも楽しいが、ウルトラ怪獣の生みの親、成田亨氏の鬼の絵も見られるのが嬉しい。もう少し山を上ったところには成田亨氏デザインの鬼のモニュメントがあり、こちらも見ておくべきだろう。

    A five minute drive from the Ayabe interchange and a 10 minute walk from JR Ayabe Station. This museum, located inside Ayabe Gunze Square, is dedicated to Gunze, an apparel company founded in 1896. Opened to commemorate the company's 100th anniversary, the museum is currently divided into three kura warehouse exhibition spaces areas which cover the company's past, present, and future, and visitors can view exhibits such as examples of underwear made by the company and machines used to make thread. The Dokoan rest area, originally a building where the founder of the company lived with his employees which was moved here, is only open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. There's also an exhibition space which introduces a brief history of the company.

    市中心にある無料のグンゼの企業博物館。広い駐車場に停めて旧グンゼ本社ビルに。多分、グンゼOBのボランティアさんの説明でグンゼの成り立ち、発展などを見学。その後に倉庫みたいな建物で絹紡績の仕組みから現在のグンゼ商品など展示してありました。

    This popular astronomical museum features many fun hands-on exhibits including a real meteorite that you can touch and scales that show your weight in space to illustrate the gravity on different extraterrestrial bodies. The museum holds nighttime stargazing events every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please be aware stargazing parties are only hold when the weather is clear. Some celestial bodies can also be observed during the daytime, so check with a museum staff member if you would like to see them during the daytime through the telescope.

    The 800-year-old tradition of Kurotani washi paper is designated as an Intangible Cultural Property of Kyoto Prefecture. The paper has been used in cultural assets such as the paper sliding doors shoji of Nijo Castle, which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1994, as well as sliding screens fusuma of Manshu-in Temple. Visitors to the Kurotani Washi Kaikan can walk into a papermaking studio and a reference room featuring materials on Kurotani washi paper. It is also possible to buy washi paper products and experience papermaking (reservation required).

    This garden is a place where visitors can enjoy around 20 varieties of cosmos flowers from late September to late October each year. During the open season, the garden sells cut flowers and seasonal flowers. Visitors can also pick flowers to take home for a fee. The garden also hosts the Tanba Ajiwaiichi, a food market where visitors can buy local specialties and fresh vegetables from Tanba and Kameoka and enjoy great food.

    JR福知山駅から徒歩10〜15分くらいの福知山城へ向かう途中にある。地味な外観のこぢんまりした資料館だが、内容は良い。 中でも、織り機で裂き織りの体験が出来る所がとても気に入った。10㌢四方のコースターなら20分程で仕上がる。織りは全く初めてだったが、スタッフの方がとても親切に教えてくださった。これで1枚100円なんて、申し訳ないくらい面白かった❣️ 再訪したいと思った。

    園部公園一角にある文化博物館です。訪問時は休館日なので内容は分かりません。ＪＲ園部駅から徒歩３０分ほどかかりますが、車ならば駐車場も有り行き易いかと思います。ちなみにお城のような写真が掲載されていますが、こちらは園部国際交流会館という看板が有りました。
