    This is the old residence of the Yagi family in Mibu village. The residence was the Mibu Tonsho or headquarters of the Shinsengumi shogunate police and the place of origin of this force. It was the place of the Serizawa Kamo assassination and even today the sign of a sword cut remains in the lintel. It is possible to see inside the building. One can also enjoy matcha and Tonsho mochi rice cakes.
