Mibu Onsen Hana no Yu is a hot spring facility located in Kyoto's Nakagyo Ward. It has an open-air bath with water from the natural spring Hotaru no Yu in the town of Moriyama, Shiga Prefecture and a bath with skin-purifying properties from 1,300 meters underground that passes through the Hira Mountains, the Suzuka Mountains, and the former lakebed of Lake Biwa. Both of these baths are available to customers. A sauna with raised benches, a bath with carbonated water, and jet baths are just a few of the kinds of facilities that customers can enjoy. The onsite restaurant, Sakura-tei, makes its own highly regarded soba noodles out of pure buckwheat.

All the things I enjoyed here last time. A very inexpensive onsen with friendly staff. It has an indoor and an outdoor space. If you dont read Japanese then check out my image - the button circled...

Kyoto Areas

Its wooden tea houses, shuffling geisha, and spiritual sights have seen Kyoto hailed as the heart of traditional Japan, a world apart from ultramodern Tokyo. Despite being the Japanese capital for over a century, Kyoto escaped destruction during World War II, leaving behind a fascinating history which can be felt at every turn, from the fully gold-plated Kinkakuji Temple down to traditional customs such as geisha performances and tea ceremonies, which are still practiced to this day.
