There is also a buffet restaurant serving dishes made with local vegetables and shops selling local specialty products and knickknacks made with herbs.

    今日は甲賀市をうろちょろしています。最近の状況により交通量が少ないように思います。ここで情報収集と思いきやコロナの影響で閉館していましたので掲示さているパネルを眺め、トイレの利用です。ゆっくりしていろんなものを見たかった。 国道の向こうには田村神社が見えます、ここに駐車して散歩もいいでしょう。

    三井アウトレットパーク滋賀竜王へ行った足で、道の駅も行ってきました。 動物のふれあい広場があったり、目の前には池があったりして、のんびりできました。

The station sells local specialty products such as Mandokoro tea and Eigenji konnyaku devil's tongue jelly. There are also two restaurants serving dishes such as Omi beef rice bowls and “Eigenji Dam Curry” modeled after the Eigenji Dam. In addition, there’s a small museum corner with aquariums containing fish from the Echi River and Lake Biwa as well as exhibits on traditional local unpainted wooden crafts.

    三重県の石榑に抜ける手前にありますので、休憩に立ち寄ってみましたが、珍しい滋賀県の特産品の鮒ずし等も販売していました。

    禁漁前に蟹を求めに向かいます。今回は敦賀ですから高速使うまでもないかと思い湖西道路経由愛発越えです。 愛発越えの滋賀県側手前に位置する道の駅で、途中休憩にちょうどよいのでちょくちょく利用します。まあ、トイレと自販機(お茶)くらいなもので、物販も食事もほぼ利用しませんが、、

    幹線道路が大渋滞なので道の駅に寄りました。2015年9月に開設された新しい道の駅なので期待してましたが、生憎レストランは19時に閉店となっており残念でした。仕方なくコンビニを利用しました。

    道の駅 竜王かがみの里の中にあるレストランです。出張時のランチで利用しました。近江牛が有名みたいでしたが、高かったのでカレーを頂きました。カレーは至って普通でしたが美味しかったです。

    道の駅です。周りは、緑地があり、池の鯉をみたり出来ます。また、琵琶湖沿いで、二階にのぼれば、景色が見えました。

    ここで売ってる、いぶき大根がとくに美味しいとい噂、買って帰りました。 家で天ぷらの出汁におろし大根を入れていただきました。 辛味と旨味が段違いでした。

    商品の補充はほとんどないので、寂しい売り場になっています。野菜類はまあ普通、さほど買い得感はありません。狙い目は栃餅や鯖素麺など地域の食品、あとは時季の山菜ですかね。鯖寿司は専門店で買った方がよいと思います。

    A 10-minute drive from the Ritto Interchange on the Meishin Expressway. This roadside station is situated along Prefectural Route 145. The station's farmers market sells fresh vegetables and fruits from the local Ritto area picked that very morning, Ritto Agri Rice, and other seasonal farm products at reasonable prices. Popular products include the famous Wariki maki sushi; Maruppo Tofu made with whole soybeans from Ritto; additive-free, homemade breads; and gelato. Shinkansen trains can be seen from the station's on-site restaurant and parking lot. If you're lucky, you just might get to see the Doctor Yellow Shinkansen!

Visitors to Shiga prefecture are almost always hopping east across the prefectural border from Kyoto, and they are almost certainly Lake Biwa-bound. Covering an area of 670 square kilometers, Lake Biwa makes up the bulk of Shiga prefecture, with beautiful lakeside paths that offer myriad walking and cycling opportunities, connecting a string of museums, shrines, and picturesque views that finally lead you to Hikone Castle on the eastern side of the lake.
