- "This pottery studio stands at the foot of Mt. Asama, about which in ancient times it was said that ""a pilgrimage to Ise without visiting Asama is only half a pilgrimage."" Surrounded by abundant natural beauty, the studio makes chawan bowls, yunomi teacups, flower vases, mugs, and other pottery items which easily integrate into everyday life. The studio also conducts pottery making activities every Saturday and Sunday in which participants can receive courteous instruction while creating their very own, one-of-a-kind pottery piece. You can borrow all the tools and equipment you need and the studio will send pieces C.O.D. after they have been fired."

Mie Areas
Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
