    Tsukiyomi is a restaurant located a two-minute drive from the Ise Interchange on the Ise Expressway. Its specialty is Ise Udon (noodles), handmade with a slightly sweet soy sauce flavor. It is also well known for its Ise Katsudon (pork cutlet on rice), in which tamari soy sauce is used to create a crisp texture, a dish completed with the help of designer Tsuguhisa Nakano of From Produce. The restaurant also offers a full menu of rice dishes and prix fixe meals.

    近鉄五十鈴川駅から徒歩10分にある定食屋。 値段の割に量がかなり多いので、お得です。おかげ横丁の様に混んでいないのでお勧めです。

    This eatery in the Ujiyamada Shopping Center a one-minute walk from the Kintetsu Ujiyamada Station is famous for their karaage fried chicken rice bowl, an Ise comfort food. They're simple rice bowls with spicy fried chicken chunks and onion made fluffy with egg prepared with dashi broth. With large portions and reasonable prices, they say people come here when they've been away for a while. You can choose between small and extra-large servings. Their Shimpuku Set Meal with a small fried chicken rice bowl and Ise udon is popular. It's been covered in the media, and the interior is decorated with celebrity autographs and more.

Specializing in vegetarian food, their menu comprised of a rich variety of Japanese-style options in popular. Their daily set menu has nine different small dishes and includes miso soup, pickles and rice. For the rice, you can choose between their specialty brown rice and half-milled rice, or half of each. There are also set meals with simmered dishes made with reduced oil. They offer various kinds of vegetable sweets that go perfectly with organic coffee.

    Run by a couple, Le Cinq is a restaurant with a home-like atmosphere. It is located along National Route 22, west of Kuratayama Park going toward the Outer Shrine. It serves full French-style dinner and lunch courses using ingredients produced in Mie Prefecture, including Kinso chicken and Kiwami pork. Reservations are required for the popular French Kaiseki, which uses special ingredients produced in Mie Prefecture. However, a more casual menu is available at dinnertime, and customers can order food a la carte or just have a glass of wine. Customers can also hold parties or family dinners here.

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
