    Mie Pref. Miegunkomonochou Komono 8522
"The Yunoyama Onsen Kyoukai is an association that oversees operation of the Yunoyama Onsen hot springs resort, which is located in the eastern foothills of Mt. Gozaisho. Besides providing information about accommodation in this historic hot springs resort, which was first established around 1,300 years ago, the association also functions as a tourist information office, providing details about places to see in the area and hot springs facilities suitable for day-trip visitors, etc.; visitors can pick up pamphlets containing useful information. There is convenient access from Gozaisho Ropeway Station, which is the ""gateway"" to the hot springs area, and the Yunoyama Onsen Kyoukai should be the first place you visit when you arrive."

This tour company is located about five minutes on foot from JR Kintetsu Toba Station. They offer an array of tours including marine based activities like their Sea Forest Walk and Lunch and eating tours that let you enjoy the bounty of the sea near Iseshima like their Local Food Hopping tour. Their excursions are great for getting a seasonal taste of Toba. Their popular Sea-Glass Gel Candle, Accessories, and Magnet Workshop will provide wonderful memories with the pounding of the waves in the background.

If you have a chance to visit Toba or have an extra day in Nagoya, I highly recommend doing a tour with Kaitou Yumin Club. We selected the Ama tour as I really wanted to meet the locals and see a...

This pilot site delivers tourism information for Matsusaka City. The landmark for the center is the cylindrical building lined with blue glass windows. The signboard also includes the mascot for Matsusaka City, Chachamo. Many different pamphlets are placed on the counter, and they show attractions in the city. With a luggage storage facility, you can temporarily store large travel bags to freely enjoy sightseeing. They also conduct bicycle rentals for tourists, and have several bicycles with electric power assist.

The first time I went to Matsusaka by train, I was relieved to see the Matsusaka City Tourist Information Center to my right. Though I had a map, I asked them for directions just to be sure. The...

This pearl theme park is located approximately a 10-minute drive from JR and Kintetsu Railway Toba Station. The first floor is the shopping area, and the second floor has a tour course and gallery. In the sales area, you can choose accessories while consulting with the staff, and also go on a tour course listening to an audio guide and watching videos explaining the unknown mysteries of the ocean, several tales about pearls, the principles of making pearls and global environmental problems on a large 200-inch screen with an amazing sound. You can see the craftsmen actually working and witness the moment each pearl becomes an accessory.

This was an excellent museum!! I learned more about oysters and pearls and the process of making cultured pearls than I ever knew there was to know. There were plenty of very informative signs...

Mie Main Areas

around-area-map

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
