- This meat cuisine restaurant, standing on Prefectural Route 60, is located in Naka-machi, Matsusaka City. The longstanding establishment opened in the Meiji period and serves sukiyaki, steaks, and amiyaki grilled foods using Matsusaka beef raised on company-owned farms. The restaurant's sukiyaki, sauteed on an iron skillet over a charcoal fire, has been a signature dish since it first opened its doors, and those who order it can savor the delicious flavor and aroma of Matsusaka beef laced with smooth, high quality fat.

Booked on their web site and got a confirmation within 1 hour. It is convenient for foreigners. Their staff speak little English. Yet the quality of steaks does the talking. Sukiyaki is also...

- Mie Pref. Yokkaichishi Suwasakaemachi 10-2
- This Chinese Restaurant is in an arcade in front of the Kintetsu Yunoyama Line's Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station. It's a four-minute walk away. One of their best dishes is the local Yokkaichi favorite known as tonteki or pork steak. A super filling 250-gram shoulder loin is baked in their aromatic, shoyu-based house sauce that's sweet and salty with plenty of garlic. Their hearty Butachahan Set meal featuring pork fried rice and a small bowl of ramen noodles with soy sauce broth comes recommended, as does their Curry Tenshin-han, a novel combination of fluffy egg over rice topped with curry sauce.

It is a restaurant where diners can enjoy Yakiniku (barbecued meat), Sukiyaki, Shabushabu (do-it-yourself stew), and other dishes made with Grade A5 Matsusaka beef. Two of us ordered two A5 sets each has 3 types of meat totalling 250gm. For light eaters like us it was a bit too much, but quality of meat was so good that we ended up finishing all. We were so...

- Mie Pref. Matsusakashi Miyamachi Nakajima 338-13
- Senriki is a Yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant that serves only Matsusaka beef. It is located an eight-minute walk from JR and Kintetsu Matsusaka Station. The restaurant buys high-quality whole Matsusaka heifers of the A4 and A5 grade, and the meat it serves is characterized by the fine marbling typical of Matsusaka beef. Since the restaurant buys an entire animal, its dishes of fresh Matsusaka beef organ meats are some of its popular menu items, including some that are rare and are hardly ever seen on the market. Reasonably priced prix fixe meals are available at lunchtime. The meat can be packaged as gifts, and it is also used as a gift in return for tax-deductible donations to Matsusaka City..

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
