    This long-established sushi restaurant that opened in 1908 is a three-minute walk from Ugata Station. The fourth-generation owner was born and raised in Shima and specializes in hand-rolled sushi, and many loyal customers and tourists flock to this restaurant. The fish, which are caught from Ise Shima’s harbor the same day, taste and glisten like none other. Aside from hand-formed sushi, chirashi-zushi (bed of rice with sprinkled ingredients), and rolled sushi, there’re also seafood rice bowls, set meals, and daily lunch sets. The shop has a subdued ambience with counter, table, and tatami seating.

    This sushi shop close to JR and Kintetsu Kuwana Station features clams on its menu. Founded over 130 years ago, its steamed sushi and nigiri sushi made with local Kuwana clams raised in a perfect environment with a blend of sea and fresh water are local favorites. This especially goes for their original steamed sushi, with clams marinated in their secret house sauce and broiled, laid on sushi rice, and set on thin sliced omelet before being steamed together. The clams' savoriness transfers to the rice and really whets the appetite. They've appeared widely in the media, and reservations are recommended.

    桑名市は蛤が有名みたいで、雛祭に蛤のお吸い物飲まれへんかったのもあって、俵寿司さんの焼き蛤の蒸し寿司を食べました。錦糸卵に乗った蛤、味も良いし、肉厚で蛤食べたわ-って気がしました。

    Marumitsu Sushi serves sushi and other seafood on Toshijima Island, which lies offshore from Toba. It is a five-minute walk from Wagu Harbor. Visitors are attracted by the kind of fresh seafood that one expects to find on an island and by the hideaway atmosphere of the restaurant, which has been featured many times in the local media. The seafood couldn't be any fresher: live fish and shellfish are kept in large tanks and buckets in the restaurant, and they are immediately prepared for cooking after the customer places an order. Groups of two or more can order a chef's special with a whole spiny lobster, including servings in the original shape of the lobster, and other splendid creations with freshly caught seafood, available at a reasonable price.

    This sushi restaurant uses seafood from Iseshima. With the concept of taking hold of the seasons of Iseshima, most of their sushi ingredients are coastal fish purchased in the morning that day. Their menu is lined with the names of rare fish that cannot be seen elsewhere such as noresore (young conger eel) and umazura (black scraper fish). Course menus are prepared for different budgets, and you can leave it to the chef to make sushi he thinks you will like. They also have a bargain set menu for lunchtime.

    This long-established sushi restaurant founded in 1951 is one of the best in Matsusaka. The marker for the shop is the large wooden 寿し萬 signboard. The shop is arranged with the atmosphere of a simple good old sushi shop. Their ingredients are mainly local ones from the Iseshima area including Matsusaka. The owner's recommendation are raw beef nigiri sushi using marbled Matsusaka beef, conger eel sushi prepared with traditional methods, and inarizushi (sushi rice wrapped in fried tofu). The restaurant also offers abalone, famous as the blessing of Iseshima. There is a bargain lunchtime set menu available.

    This sushi restaurant uses local ingredients from Toba. Small in size, it has counter seats and raised tatami bamboo-floored seating. It is characterized by the fact that they use fresh seafood purchased every morning from the local port. In addition to carefully prepared sushi, their seafood dishes are also praised for their high level of perfection. Among them, they offer items with rare ingredients such as pearl oyster shells.     周囲に有名チェーン回転寿司があふれているので、埋もれがちながらまずまずいい寿司を提供している。100円回転寿司よりも少し値は上がるがそれ相応の美味しいものは出してくれる。格安にこだわらず、ほんの少し贅沢に寿司を食べたい時には選択肢に入る。

    友人と長島町を訪問し近鉄長島駅近くにあったお寿司屋・千代寿司さんで昼食。 ランチメニューを見るとほとんどに海老フライ付き。私はデカイ海老フライが二本とお寿司の御膳をいただきました。サクサク揚げたての海老フライは本当に美味しかったです。 大将は気さくな感じの方でしたし若女将も笑顔が素敵でした。価格は1800円でした。

    名張駅前商店街にある「や台すし」夕食をいただきました。お寿司も居酒屋メニューも充実しています。すし竹(12貫)をいただきました。マグロ(2)、サーモン、ハマチ、(名前がわからない)白身魚、サバ、イカ、タコ、エビ、貝類などです。ネタも悪くなくこれだけ食べて1364円ですから、まあリーズナブルな価格です。ボリューム面も問題ありませんでした。

    知人と来店しました。 周辺には沢山飲食店がありますが… 悩んで無難な感じで選びました。 コスパも良く(19時まではドリンク半額) チェーン店としてはやはり安定してます。 (他店舗にはよく行きます。)

    すし屋というよりは居酒屋感があるチェーン店です。カウンターがあるのでひとりでも気軽に入れました。週末で賑わっていましたので、かなりガヤガヤとはしています。久居駅のまわりはあまりお店がないので、遅くまで営業している点は良いですね。

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
